Touring in a group with younger children is hard because you’ve got to consider the other tourists in the group as they also wanted to listen to what the tour guide says. It’s best to do a private tour so the guide may have more leeway with the children to do what they like.

Yes that's rude..the whole point of a tour is to listen to the guides...maybe you should have booked a private tour.. you'll know for next time... that's why I didn't do tours when I was younger and traveled

Being a part of a group tour, you really sign up to be a "part' of the group so you really just can't do your own thing Lily😅

Tours are good but certainly not the right thing for a family who does want to do their own thing..the others passengers will always have wait on you..best to take a tour just for yourselves next time..

If you understand Vietnamese, the restaurant owner was complaining to the tour guide that his tour group was sitting scattered in separate tables and she wanted them to sit close together as a group. She was mad because the tour guide didn’t complied with her request.

The tour guide is probably thinking “typical disrespectful American” lol 😂 loved the boat part of the tour, beautiful scenery!

Leon is like Wat… needs a little nudge to get out of his quiet comfort zone ...❤

@lillyslife, I used to be a certified tour guide for Italian, French, English, and Thai people a long time ago. I can assure you that we are not mad at our clients. We are responsible for everyone's safety and are accountable if someone goes missing, injuring themselves, or breaking any rules (like no touching or kissing in a sacred place). 😊❤😊

I travel vicariously through you lol. I can not afford to travel and your content is so realistic, I love watching these. The food videos not so much because I always get hungry and wanna try all the fabulous foods lol. Btw Luke is NOT picky lol that boy tries everything food wise it seems and likes most of it. Yes you being bit rude you are there for the tour. But plenty of them can be rude too I was there June 2023 but had private guide

Maybe you guys should have gone on a personal tour instead of a group one. They would have been more in tune with you and your needs. I get it. The one thing I struggled with in northern Vietnam is that most people didn’t initially smile in greeting. I find I tend to be a more relaxed traveler when the local people are friendly (like in Thailand).

Great idea with the tour! We did a tour of Golden Triangle in India a few months ago... the schedule is packed but they fit so much in each day and coordinate luggage, etc... Vietnam is next on the list. Thank you for sharing! 🐾🐾

The guides are paid to guide you and educate you , I always listen to what they say because they are going to know a lot more than me.they may get into trouble if their bosses think they are not doing a good job.

I’ve travel Vietnam a few years ago before CV, traveled from bottom to top with a travel package (with my daughter) . The tour group was fantastic and met some of the loveliest people from around the world (some are still great friends) but the humidity nearly killed me 😂 and the traffic. So, I understand why Leon wanted to go back to his hotel room 😂

U and Luke are free spirits u probably won't always line up. No worries I'm a free spirit too.😂

Such beautiful and well-behaved boys! That's why I do not join tour groups cause I don't like being dropped off at stores to shop and having to follow the whole group wherever they go even if I don't feel like it. I'd rather pay for private tours or hire a driver to bring me around and google about the places I visit.
