Thank you for showing about the gum solution. It's a new to me product. I probably would have just loosened it up with more underglaze. Great videos! Thank you for the interesting content!

I completely get that clay patience thing. Fixing greenware and bisque can be tricky. That’s a good video suggestion. Frankly I haven’t used either lately.

Absolutely, you can make any amount.

Can I try a smaller amount to start before I use a full pint. I have started making transfers with news print. I think its a cool Idea. I do wood fired pottery and i wanted to see how this old up in the big kiln

I just got a pint of gum solution and it looks like a big blob with tiny bubbles. Any thoughts? Could it have been frozen? Love your videos!

Hi Kathy, so excited to try this!! Instead of printing a design on the Transparency film, can I draw my own design on it with a black marker?

I have had that work when using a black sharpie marker on transparency film and them making my silkscreen with Ikon Stencil Art ikonartstencil.com/ikonart-textile-film-10x12/. I have a video on it or you can learn on their site. Use the discount code clayprinting to get 15% off.

I love the technique. What if I can't wait for the clay the thicken? What do you think about that powder some mention to quick thicken the clay? I tried it and am not impressed. It clumped and didn't really work. Probably I needed to add more?

I get it that it takes a while! I’m in Florida and it’s very humid. I’ve tried lots of things but a fan on it over night works the best. Another thing you can try is to pour a thinner layer to dry out. If it gets too dry add some AMACO Gum Solution mixed with water per the instructions. I stir it well and sometimes it does look a little ‘clumpy’ but it has always passed through the silkscreen or on a brayer to make prints. I hope that helps!

@@kathyskaggs4245 thank you! I live in New Orleans metro so humidity with heat is easilly come by. I'll try spreading it out in the garage. I'm learning that with clay patience, especially in prep work, is worth the effort. Your videos are very helpful. 🥰( I just learned today that I could actually fix some of my broken bisque and greenware with clay mender. Which one do you prefer? Amaco's or Mayco's?) Thanks again!

Are we talking hours or days to dry?

It will take days not hours. It depends on where you live, if it's dry or humid.
