@@MelinaPylant is it possible with this type of pocket do u think to add a cascading folio off the front? Or attach it from the back so it shows from the bottom and not add bulk to the original pocket at all? I ask because if secret pockets can be added what kind of challenge would it make to add one of those beautiful cascading folios to it, or would it make the pocket to bulky? I thought about your tri fold as an envelope of some sort too. I’ve been learning and taking notes from a lot of different journaling creators and I haven’t seen many if at all ones combining the different and beautiful elements that are individually made together. With your attention to detail and love of creating different journals and elements like your Mom, I know that you could create a awesome combo insert from your individual ideas. It also dawned on me that our vellum especially the less frosted stuff could make wonderful base pockets underneath or to the back of the main part of the project without adding a lot of bulk and give added journaling space, that can be kept even more personal. It was your vellum pocket challenge and Ephemera book creations, that I got that idea from. I haven’t been able to do trial and error creating because of my living situation at the moment but I am starting to put together a idea journal when I get a moment to breathe. I think the more we step out of our comfort zone when we are creating and challenge ourselves, we get better and more comfortable and creative with our craft 🌺 You and your Mom have inspired me over the past few months to get back to the paper and fabric journaling crafts I love most, even if life demands otherwise sometimes 💜 Stay blessed, love you all (((Air hugs)))

I tried that. The second fold is more shallow/narrow than the first fold. That method cuts the second folds triangle too deep and therefore doesn’t leave enough space for the front tuck. But of course, yes, someone could probably think of an exactly preside method of cutting the V. But I don’t see the need since this is a scrap project and each pocket I cut had middle V with no “wonkiness”. 😁😁😁 These are super quick pockets. No need to take great amounts of time on them unless someone just wants to.

Not with Scor Tape. Now with regular ATG double sided tape I do. But I’ve not had any issues with Scor Tape.

I tried that and it ended up wonky on the fold where I was having to trim with scissors after or too short/far down in the middle trying to get passed the fold to not have the fold lines showing. This way was just easier for me. I’m sure someone more talented than I could do it that way even better. 🙂🙂🙂
