Using bicycle spokes for darts is pretty expensive, get some gas welding rod instead. And since a micro torch was being used to make the cup seals, heat up the end of the dart to red hot with it, that will make it a lot easier to smash it flat. And sharpen those babies up with a good file, grinder or some sand paper!

I think a shorter shaft won't work as good. Longer shaft is more stable and penetrate more like a spear throw. Short dart will tumble too much after ejecting from the cone. If only I have the expensive Chronos High Speed camera, hard to capture that movement

I'll try my best to answer you. Stainless steel or T-6061 aluminum are really good pipes for a blowgun, but my concern is the thickness and straightness after being cut. The pipe wall thickness should be 3mm strong, just like the Coldsteel tubes. Stainless steel can be slightly thinner walled like 2mm since steel is much more heavier and harder than aluminum. Stainless pipes, you must make sure it's the 'seamless' smooth bore type, no welding line! And You got to make sure they are dead on straight. I have access to these thick aluminum pipes here, but I dare not buy due to this reason. With class 7 thick 15mm pvc pipe, I can make it straight by using support rail. Hence I choose pvc for my blowgun. I can't buy coldsteel blowgun either. Dart shooting speed, it's up to blowing technique and how well made the cone is, a snug fit seal. As long as the bore is smooth, you're good to go

Another method is to use a thick pvc pipe as the exterior to support the metal pipe, using the metal as the inner lining. You want to make sure the end product is unbendable from abuse or accident falls. Metal pipe can dent, the worst nightmare of metal blowguns

Get the stainless steel, but is it seamless kind?? Also Check for straightness

@@LKH9Channel Thank you, it worked now. Cones made by cardboard are not usable after few shots because of Alcohol gun's pressure. They burn then tattered. But these hdpe cones are perfect. Maybe my accuracy problem was because of cardboard's weight, I'll try shooting with these new cones at outside.🤙

With experience, you will make better hdpe cones. Thicker bottles will need small burn surface to get it thin. Thin plastic needs wider surface to compensate. Do update me on the results

@@cesurkarakus209 oh yeah one more trick I need to share with you here... After a few shots with the hdpe cones, they will become looser and looser from the wear & tear. By using your finger nail, both hands, scratch the inside edge and slightly flare it out, not too much until you tear the plastic, just slightly... This way it will be good as new and fit in the gun barrel snuggly
