Well, all of the youtubers that complain about this mention that it is after going to another airbrush brand like Iwata, then coming back that they noticed the trigger response as an issue. If the H&S testers are only using H&S, then they won't realize it is a problem. That is "just how it is." And if they believe they have the best product on the market already, then they won't feel any incentive to "downgrade" to an Iwata.... Since these same triggers have been in use since 1998 or earlier and H&S is all about interchangeable parts, this issue has long since been "baked in" many of their airbrushes. But before they will fix, they still have to believe it is a problem.

Thank you for the excellent video and hack to improve the trigger response. I used the leftover Teflon washer from the .015 nozzle I destroyed while doing my first cleaning wit that brush. The needles and nozzles are stupid fragile. Reamed out the id of the washer as you showed in the video and slipped it on the needle chuck. The thickness was perfect for eliminating all the play in the trigger responsiveness.

Tank you so much. I've tried it on my infinity crplus, and it immediatly improved both my feeling and the airbrush precision (tested with 0.4 and 0.2 needles). After switching to acrylics I found it to be unusable, or at least not worth the struggle.This makes the Infinity the brush I imagined it to be when I bought it. I have noticed a rub however. The quick fix needle limiter is not quite right, I know you don't use it, so you may not have noticed. I may trim the sleeve on the limiter where the butt of the needle goes in.

@Shadowdncer
@Shadowdncer 4 месяца назад
I have my suspicion why they did it that way. On my Evolution Silverline, the push action on the trigger is sometimes sticking or slow to release with the needle full forward because the stem of the trigger sits against the case, so the air doesn't shut off every time or only does so slowly. If I hold the trigger back a little bit while chucking in the needle and thereby increase the slack, it works perfectly, but I need to be a bit more careful to find the trigger point. If the mechanism was preloaded by default, that stickyness would be way worse. I wouldn't rule out that H&S would need to redesign their entire trigger group to resolve that potential issue across all product lines.

When your new washers arrive, put those in your needle tip and take the old ones and adapt them for the trigger fix.

@harderairbrush, any thoughts on making an official H&S spacer for the needle chuck?

Don't know if this helps but you can turn the trigger round so the back of it faces the front of the airbrush it feels slot more comfortable that way cheers

I think they implemented the exact same fix when they introduced the giraldez version of the crplus. They will probably update the rest of the infinity/chameleon line with the same bit.

anyone having infinity , and looking for egronomic grip , you can put the badger finger and thumb rest plactic piece .. i got the sotar 2020 and had ordered the handle for airbrush like grex makes , i had to remove the black plactic thumb rest for sotar to fit in the handle , and i screwed the thumb rest to infinity and its bit more comfortable

i tried it with some washers that i took from the rotary tools cutting dics , they were bit thinner than the teflon washers so i put some extra , but the result was ,there was alot of reduction in triggrer travel , the more i added ,more the trigger travel reduced to the point where i could not flush any clogs by pulling the chuck from cut away handle . I carefully checked and the little cylinder type thing that is at the front of the nut shaped tube housing sits flush to the walls of the slot in the trigger , then without washers is checked trigger by pulling back just a mm and there is no play as the walls of slot sits totally flush on the nut shaped tube housing and the little round cylinder sort out guides and locks in the slot . I think the art tools channel is right there is something to do with the front end it self .. i was bit worried about the play which is bettween the golden curved lever hole through which the trigger shaft passed horizontally but when we press the trigger for air that play is eliminated .. i guess its the harsh truth that it is so difficult to do xtra fine lines with infinity and yet thats what i wanted from it and spent 400 aud on it .. and only after my purchase i came across the vedio of the artworkshop chanel . and i realised i fffed up . i have not tried 771 but my advice to any one who is thinking between infinity or 771 go for creos . . i have had bad experience with sparmax gp 850 fan cap as well .. round cap is fine but there is no point i got it for fan pattern . i recently started practice again and i think the thing the has helped me is i figure out the distance i have to pull the trigver to get fine line the wind the fluid control and leave little bit more room for triigger travel from that point . and then when it stops you can free pull on the trrigger with little force and if paint still does not come i clean the tip and can confidentily pull the trigger fully as it would be ristricted to the point where i get fine lines .. and when the clog is stubburn then unlock the neddle limiter and flush out by using chuck nut through the cut away handle

Hello I'm having issues where if I use my brush and then come back after about a day, the trigger is stiff, bordering on frozen stuck. If I use it a bit it'll sometimes stop pulling the needle back too. Wondering if you have any ideas on what's going on? I'm using an infinity "cult of paint" edition.

Strip down and good clean 👌 that will sort it make sure your not leaving paint in it when you have finished airbrushing if so quick blast with water And leave your brush with water in it over night

Does anyone know if the new Giraldez suffer from this problem? I can see it couldn't fit the washers if it does, because it doesn't have a round shaft.

This seems like a weird design flaw to me. Which is a shame because these brushes are otherwise fantastic. Thanks for sharing this!

Been looking for a solution to this for ages, on a premium brush like this I would expect the dead one to be tuneable, apparently not

Thanks mate! I found if you just press hard enough on a flat surface the teflon washers will press onto that piece without needed the burr tool.
