Saw it during Ludwig's tournament, too. He's so good at casting. Hopefully he gets more opportunity to do this kinda stuff, 'cause it's extremely entertaining.
Yeah, just like in his auction video and we have moments of him narrating Trash taste specials, really feels like he likes the structured and somewhat of serious but creative type of the work commentators do
@@TurtleDuck9290 almost as if he's not "so natural damn" but has actually (edit: also*, because of how offended people apperantly get from someone praising a person's hard work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) spent a long, long time practicing & perfecting his skills
Like the Yang to the Yin, the moon to the sun, the ebb to the flow, such is the balance of nature, which Connor has now achieved and ascended beyond us mere mortals.
Big props to Rainhoe for that monster carry, let's go Team Pathetic! Bit of a shame that they let Llama enter as a mentee instead of a mentor...but at the last moment they were one man short and he was the best that they could find.
Tbh it turned out to be pretty fair considering his mentor was by FAR the least skilled at the game. Imagine how bad the team would have done if they got someone as new as some of the other mentees
It was kinda sus when you think about the 1st stage literally every mentor was with their mentee yet llama was always by himself the entire time. I think he knew his mentor sucked at that point since he was making the jumps without his mentor.
@@RapSucksGoTechno I don't think it was fair still. He was in a position to rack up 16 points by himself while the mentor who sucked got the least stakes. Even if Llama was first in mentor and scored 8 points, there's no way that mentor dude would've gotten them in second place. They don't deserve that money.
Considering how bad the mentor was comparatively, I have to assume they actually deliberately put a less experienced mentor with him because they knew it would be a problem.
@@proxythefool Yeah I did a rouigh estimation judging by their in-game progress (analyzing percentageprogress/time and placing them compared to the other players progress), they would have got 5th or 6th place if mentor and mentee was swapped Edit: it's really close between team Demondice and team Llama, cause by what I calculated, there is a chance team Llama would still get 11 points, but most likely outcome is 10 points, putting the 2 teams on equal placing.
Man... Rain really had a redemption arc. 53 hours on her first ever run, to arguably one of the best speedrun streamers. I think she and Connor both view Jump King the same way; something that can hurt them in the moment, but they love it deeply. With how much she's grinded the game, she's probably even better than Connor now too.
@@kurtdupree1254 my heart rate is higher speedrunning jump king than going for a job, add to that everyone watching you and the pressure to perform in an event, obviously you're not going to be at resting heart rate.
I can never forgot that part that Connor makes fun of Mouse and calls her a rat, because she was in the sewer. The funny part is that she actually did keep falling back into sewers 😂.
I love how Connor forced these poor souls to play one of the most painful games of all time. The reason I believe Connor did this was because he felt so much pain when he subjected himself play all the jump king games, he wanted them to have the same feelings of pure sadness
"Speaking of mental help..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I need to see more Emily/Rain collabs. Their combined energies makes for amazing content. Also, big ups to Mudan and Francis. I know this had to be a pain in the neck to edit....🙏🏾
Connor why the fuck are u so damn good at this? Are you sure you weren’t born to be a show host? This entire video had my at the edge of my seat the entire time.
Wait Connor is so good at commentating-- I guess I should've expected that, since he's studied voice acting he has the cadences down and he knows this game very well.
love it during the final round Rain just goes "fuck it!", goes Ultra Instinct and just zooms through the game forgetting about how many rounds she's made or that she's even in a tournament
Such a well-planned competition and Connor is really good at being a host explaining everyone's situation. Emiri and Rain are so adorable and wholesome in the end.
It's honestly amazing how well Connor can keep up the conversation and interaction and on top of that make it all interesting as a commentator. He's a natural at this point. A bit of professionalism trickled in and we have a fully fledged host on our hands. Honestly though, his charm is to be a bit more of an entertainer in the commentator seat, so I'd say changes aren't even necessary. Format already works so evolution is the way up.
Connor is very good at hosting. I noticed it in his hotel reviews with Chris whether in his voiceover or on the spot explanations. He's clearly got both the voice and propensity for it.
Something is so funny to me about Llama being a Smurf and dominating two rounds but his mentor could not keep up with him. Also as much as I love Demondice we all know that Connor should have been Mouse’s mentor.
This was like a legit 80's movie with team Xntentaction being the rich kid cheating their way to the top(kidding) but then we got team Rainhoe who made progress each round.
Connor is a natural at announcing. The lovely voice pairs well with the skill to just talk ( aka bs ) hahaha. Seriously entertaining! Normally I would of gotten add an moved on but this was a fun watch cheers 🍻
This game seems like it causes actual trauma & as much as I enjoy watching others suffer through it, I hope I never end up putting myself through it... For my mental health... LOL
I don't watch many Vtubers, but I'm happy pretty much all of them are in this competition. Also- I need Connor to cover more events like this, he's so good at it!
Connor could be a great play-by-play caster. Not the best, but definitely had potential. We just need someone to be a colorcaster who can match Connor's level
It’s like the Olympics or the World Cup, you may not know which team to root for but when people score or gain a point for the team it’s a great feeling
Connor should honestly take more opportunities to do casting. I think he was awesome and it was so fun watching the tourney with him and everyone else.
Honestly Connor did amazing commentating! Brother maybe you have a future in casting video games or esports, hell I'd love to see you casting LEC or something like that!
Connor needs to comentate on more things, he knows how to continue talking and keep a steady flow managing to spectate on each perspective relatively evenly
@@RapSucksGoTechno in the full video connor points out that the characters hat is a special one that u win for finishing one of the DLC. He's response is I don't know, I don't remember. So I don't think he lied to twitch but did lie when asked outright by connor.
@@richardmorales4914 oh really? That’s lame. To be honest it also seems like his mentor lied about his skill too with how poorly he did compared to everyone else. Awesome that it turned out so well despite that
@@RapSucksGoTechno for sure it balances its self out, and I 100% blame twitch. But he could have owned up to it more also. Don't think anyone would blame him if he just said "yeah I have no idea why I am here."
