Well I think as they are so cheap for the purpose of the video I would open it up and see .. I'm betting there's no cells missing and weight difference is down to the cell quality... I've had mainly good experiences with aftermarket.. but I guess it all depends on how your using them ..

No other than they are still working after all this time which is a win in my eyes

Costing half the price I very much doubt it is the same plastic that won’t last as long as the original

But they are all still working well even after all this time

They are all garbage...they drain 3xfaster then original Makita and they wont charge after 1 month use. I bought those from few different sources (8 batteries 6Ah) and i have 3 left working ...i could theoretically repair them but i don't want to waste time or money on something that will go to waste again. 2 Makita 5Ah i have from the start/beginning are working same as I just bought them.I cant wait to get rid of there last three fakes and i wish i never bought that crap

Mine are still going well but not as good as the original Makita batteries

Without a real capacity test (with an electronic load, like i do even on my real Makita, and all my battery like parkside/bosh/...), because they drop with the number of charges), and in the time (it seems that somes have been reported to fall to non-usable in like weeks/months), no one can tell that ALL copy are crap. I've have two 5 Ah copy from amazon since 2-3 years, and they still have nearby 4300mah of capacity. Not so bad for half the price of real makita! It could be obvious to test also max dischargecurrent, maybe (and i'm convicted) real makita can deliver more than fake ones, as the max discharge current is, like max cpacity, what made the price of the cells. Another thing to think, some 6-8-10-12 Ah (just a joke, as for 10 18650 cells, we cannot get 12Ah on 18V ^^), i suspect that some of them will drop the voltage uct-off to under the security of the cells, to last more time, but due to that, the cells dies extremly fast. Sorry for my english, not so easy to explain my mind about that ;)

Thanks for the comment, I think by far the Makita original batteries are the best option and the copies are not as good. Still I will use them just so I have something attached to my tools. It's better than constantly changing batteries over from r a quick job

mate your so wrong, it will have the same number of cells, definitely fact......otherwise it would not make 18v and would not power your drill, also would not charge. your so so wrong. the diffence is cheaper cells, that guess what? they weigh less, cant believe you came to that conclusion so so wrong, i bet you £1000 if you open that battery it will have the right number of cells, wanna make a bet with me?????????? thumbs down and no subscribe

Packs of this size should have 10 18650 cells in them but you only need 5 at 3.6v to get to 18v as I said in the video it's suspisiouse that the battery is front heavy and that it is significantly lighter. Interestingly I bought some more from the same supplyer and they are actually heavier. I would imagine the aftermarket makers buy what ever cells are at a good price and build a pack accordingly. They could do quite a lot with the charging board to cater for many battery combinations. but in short, yes there could absolutly be less than 10 cells inside and for it to apear to work the same as an original. Hope this helps

All I wanted was for you to show how long it takes for each battery to drain, powering the same machine...
@bodgeitwithbrian
@bodgeitwithbrian 2 года назад
Not doing that, it takes ages, the simple message is they do a good enough job for the price, who cares how long they last but there are some aftermarket batteries that are better than others. I think you have to assume they are never as good as the original unless you build them yourself

@@bodgeitwithbrian "who cares how long they last" literally everyone. If you use one for electric lawn mower, it is the whole point of correct amperage and duration of work

@linaskulbaciauskas7068 so you should buy original Makita batteries. The point made is they are cheap copies. None of them are as good
