Yehonatan Geffen (1947-2023) was an esteemed Israeli man of letters. This past Rosh Hashanah, we offered the setting of his Makom L’d’agah by composer Matti Caspi (b. 1949). We did not know how significant it would be soon after to sing, “At the edge of the sky, and at the verge of the desert, there is a faraway place filled with wildflowers, a small, humble, crazy place, a far place, a place to worry.”
May the memory of Yehonatan Geffen be for a blessing.

a place for worry at the end of the sky and of the verge of the desert there is a faraway place filled with wildflowers a small, humble, crazy place a far place, a place to worry there, they say what will happen and think about everything that happened G'd sits there and sees and protects everything G'd has created do not pick the gardens flowers do not pick the the flowers and worry, and worry to no end even listening and reading the poem four, five times, the feeling, that I am missing something, doesn't leave me. both Hebrew and english aren't my mothertongue. Is there anyone out there, who can help me understand the maybe different readings or interpretations of this written pictures/thoughts? What could be meant with this place to worry? and: "DO NOT pick the flowers and worry to the end" What is the meaning of the transliterated "asur"? DO NOT pick the flowers and DO NOT worry to the end .... or: DO NOT pick the flowers and worry (imperative?) to the end which one of this two readings is the grammatically correct one for the Hebrew version ? todah rabah!
