It not being on mainstream radio is what makes it unique. Perhaps, it wasn't meant for the masses and created for people who have eccentric ears that can recognize wonderful sounds. We are them.
Yeah, that's why nowadays I go to more niche artists, because the more niche you target, the more you can just worry about making something good rather than something profitable.
@andyncfcgetshypedup It's called Jazzstep - although Jazzstep usually means samples overtop Drum and Bass beats... the occasional live instrument... MAKOTO is the leader in that genre :) And, as Japan has a lovely Nu Jazz culture, they all get to work with eachother...
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S IT !!!!! I REMEMBERED LISTENING TO IT BACK IN 2012 OR 2013 !!! It was in my head some times but i could not find it !! I remembered the line "cool drink of water" and a picture of a city with a long exposure effect ! Omg finally !
Sorry gobrowns1 I gotta mess with ya - I'm glad you have this type of soothing music, i hope you have a whole lot of it 2 ease the stress of your sunday afternoons lol Hey I can talk - not long b4 detroit gave every other losing team someone to look down to last year my dolphins were 1 - 15 lol good luck great post!
i just realized these lyrics are through the most of the song xD: Help me to see, beyond my needs my joy your pain, good sun bad rain no feet to dance, then dance on hands black as the night, white as the light something else was in two parts of the song. that was trippy though lol didn't even notice for a long time. got lost in the awesomeness of the music >.>;
@liljezta1: Actually, you're the cool cat cuz you get to teach in japan! I find that totally radical! Hope we get to see it sometime! :) Oh, chances are he's probably a decent person in "real life"; it's just that I don't think that anyone should be biased on their perception of the music industry unless they've personally experienced it. And he said so himself that he hadn't, so it's not fair to the musicians who want to be heard nor is it fair to the radio jockeys who promote this music.
@krzyjazzy I speak in English because it is an international language.Who said I want u to take me seriously?I think ure a bit high on urself.U just keep listening to ur radio.I respect ur right to have and state your opinion,so please do the same for others,even if you think they are wrong.
@liljezta1: Kay. I'm no "hater". Infact, i'm a fan of music. I just think that what he says doesn't make sense to me. And that the way he expresses himself is contradictory to what he told me. And also that his point of view isn't necessarily positive to how the industry works.
No it’s not Bank station (I now know because 10 years after seeing this picture, I actually commuted to Bank for a long time) - this looks like underneath Holborn overpass.
@krzyjazzy Lol yah, I came in and just read a cool quote then u dogging on him. - didnt do my research on whos better lol. just wanted to comment ahha =P bet both of yal are cool cats
@Jamokai: ...Um, dude, get a chill pill. Did you ever think that these guys did not also use the radio to get noticed in the first place? Usually, you get airplay, then you get popularized and eventually you start to branch out. And you mispelled guidance, btw. And my feelings tell me that I oughta put you back in your place for dissing all the musicians who unlike you, put effort into actually getting as far as receiving airplay and being widely noticed.
@Jamokai: Oh, before I forget. Do you know what you want to do in life? I'm seriously asking you this. If you do, then it better be useful than staying on your computer staying frustrated at a complete stranger for no reason. I browsed your profile and saw that you lived in Norway. Take advantage of where you live and do something beneficial and meaningful with your life. Because that's what these guys and the radio host and the sheep are all doing and you're not.
