MrTench8 Hello, the tracking mode can be activated by simply scrolling down the menu to Tracking and setting it to 1, you basically get 0 for off and 1 for on etc, this is a completely auto tracking mode which will adjust for various changing conditions. When using the pinpoint feature the target ID is displayed on screen, some targets that are very deep may not show on the screen as it can be hard for the machine to get enough information to give an accurate reading. Hello when I have been out with the Makro myself and the camera man we both were carrying a mobile phone and we never had any interference, mind you saying that I have not been contacted on the phone while actually using the Racer etc, something I would have to check out. As for the headphones they are certainly not unusable, I honestly cannot hear any delay but the sound is not as sharp as using the makro`s own built in speakers etc, they have what I can explain as having a softer tone.

Hello, it sounds to me that it has not paired correctly, did you check out my video regarding the pairing ? You have to make sure the headphones are first turned off, then press the button long enough to see the blue and white flashing light on the headphones, this then means you get 2 minutes to pair both before the headphones stop transmitting. Now go and switch your makro racer on and then push the pin-pointer trigger forward and press the down button on the keypad, you should then see the BT letters appear on screen and you will need to wait until the pairing process has taken place...hope this helps, best of luck p.s also remember that if you remove the Dongle you would then have to pair again, if you keep the dongle attached to the makro racer there is no reason to pair again, just switch on your headphones at the point of the blue light and within 10 seconds the headphones should pair automatically.

Hello Stephen, If you look at the ID range above the screen it gives you which is basically a rough guide, 40 as you can see is smack on between ferrous and gold so it maybe worth using a slightly lower setting of 30 / 35 etc.

Hello, basically the threshold hum is a constant tone produced which some use to listen to those very faint small targets, its also allows you to know the machine is on and actually working correctly, this setting will allow you to increase or decrease that sound tone known as the threshold hum.... the only downside is it can get very annoying hearing a hum constantly in your ear, I dont personally use it myself as I suffer from headaches.... hope this helps......mrix
