Malačka 2024 Hillclimb Race review.
We made changes to the suspension for this race with new Reiger shocks and adjusted the geometry more to my liking. I had problems with shifting up and down the gears in the training sessions and tried to adjust the cutoff timing to mitigate the problem. On the Race 1 session the problem was still present and I couldn't shift up/down the gears a couple times which resulted in not so good time.
The car was also too soft to my liking so we adjusted the shocks to more firm settings. More importantly, our mechanic Filip Pavlina realized my gear lever is unscrewed on the bottom and that's why the car wasn't shifting properly. So in Race 2 I did a better time which was still under the pace from other guys who were driving excellent and ended up in 5th position. Overall, I am happy because I am getting in tune with the car and my pace is going up per every race. Considering this is the second time driving the car on the race and almost no pre-season testing everything is going well.
