Britain’s Got Talent star treble Malakai Bayoh joins Aled Jones to discuss life as a young singer, the launch of his new album, and his meteoric rise to fame.
Classic FM presenter and singer Aled Jones knows a thing or two about being a young star vocalist, rising to fame in the 1980s with his own treble voice. This was the pair's second meeting, after two viral duets last Christmas.

His name Malakai , i read, means messenger, and Angel.. he certainty is!! I get emotional every time i listen to Pie Jesu and his audition. I was raised a Roman Catholic and i love to hear him sing those words in Latin. His mother did a fantastic job in parenting this humble young man.

The mutual love & respect and understanding between Aled & Malakai is so beautiful to see, who better to sing with & understand what Malakai is going through than the former beautiful boy soprano? It was Aled singing " Walking In The Air " when I too was a child that got me into classical music choir performances and opera.

He is such a down to earth, calm kid with the kind of humble naivety we rarely see these days. It also sound like his voice is making it through puberty....hope so, so happy for him if he retains it. All of it, could not happen to a nicer boy.

What a talent! I haven't heard his story, really. How did it all started? Who inspired him to sing classical music? I haven't seen so many black origin people singing classical opera pieces! That's amazing! If I didn't see him I would think is a mature female opera singer singing it!
