MIER (Mother-tongue Initiatives for Education and Research) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. It has been established with a view to document, preserve and promotes the hitherto neglected/disregarded aspects of cultures and languages existing in District Chitral. Khowar being the lingua franca of the area is the first focus of our study.
