They're called aerial silks and Katrina and Aamir trained with the Cirque De Soleil troupe for many months with very little by way of safety measures to shoot this song. They even had competitions with each other to see who could spin faster on the silks, which Aamir won because he didn't have hair like Katrina's to hold down his velocity :) This was a great reaction!
