Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church Baptism | Baptism of Theodore s/o Aneesh Peter & Ellen Thomas | 10 Dec 2021 | Mor Ignatius Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Dubai | Fr.Shibu Kuttiparichel | Fr.Sojan Pattasseril|
Not sue I agree with child baptism, but this way is very nice, unlike the harsh way it is done in Georgia! A "protection and Blessing "until adulthood when the person decides, I feel is best-but I know nothing, I humble myself. The babies in that Georgian way of baptizing, are terrified! This was beautiful and infused the baby with a wonderful memory, even if he forgets, his subconscious mind carries the whole experience, which will enrich and guide him his whole life, or at least, in" seed" form, that will sprout at the right time.
As per christian scriptures a baby must be fought up in christian way since childhood. A person must know scriptures as he grows. A plant need fertiliser in beginning not after it grown up. Bible Says to bring up child from his childhood as per holy scriptures. The responsibility is given to his step father who named the child. Some Christian does baptism in adult age after he done all sins and wicked things this is wrong as per holy Bible teachings.
Child baptism is not instructed in the Bible. Praying for every reader of this comment to come out of such false teachings. First believe and accept Jesus Christ as your saviour, repent, then take immersed water baptism. Please read Romans chapter 6: 1-11 to understand the meaning of baptism
@@jamesy7180 I do agree with you that the Bible came after the establishment of church in first century. In the Bible anywhere it is written to give baptism to infants? No. But the says, baptism has to be taken by a person who accept Christ Jesus as his Saviour, repent his sins, then only step into immersed water baptism
@@sallyzachariah8913 the promise is for you and your children , households where baptised based on the faith of head of family.Jesus forgave sins of the paralysed based on the faith of the his friends , jesus also healed many children based on the faith of their parents, the children never needed to have faith. There is nothing in the bible which says God will not hear the prayer of faith of the parents
No, infant baptism is the right way to go. The Bible is clear that the gift of the Holy Spirit is for both believers and their children. While the Bible doesn't make any explicit mention of infant baptism, you need to keep in mind that it only gives examples of converts getting baptized. And just because people were baptized in rivers, that doesn't mean it had to be done by immersion.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
