Wefwafwa doesn't seem to have any faith in any of his own herbalists, which automatically discredits traditional natural treatments. How are we supposed to believe their ancestors survived without these natural treatments without competent herbalists? I've been sick with malaria in Uganda and was treated exclusively with a herbal concoction I can't remember the Lugandan name of the boiled leaves. Why is he telling people that there are no alternatives to pharmaceuticals when he knows this is untrue? Why is he promoting treated mosquito nets without Disclosing which toxic chemicals they are treated with? If the holes in the nets are sufficiently small and prevent mosquitoes from passing through then the toxic chemicals babies and infants are exposed to for many hours nightly should be superfluous? Big chema is again on the band wagon while the incidence of cancer rises and baffles Ugandan doctors.

A bad disease. I had a mild case when I worked in Africa and our public health sister had cerebral malaria that didn't show on tests but the doctor at her hospital treated her and she survived. Andrew Wefwafwa's videos are valuable to teach westerners about how medical personell fight disease in rural Africa.

Sounds like someone created this. I live in the US but was raised in Zambia, I had malaria at least 6 times and it’s not joke. And that chloroquine had u itching and scratching. No appetite, weakness, chills n then u get hot. Back and forth. It’s a horrible experience n I can imagine how little children feel when they get it. Lost a lot of friends in high school from cerebral malaria.

My son had malaria in Uganda when he was 1 year old. Thankfully he pulled through. My understanding from what my wife tells me as long as the child is healthy, well nourished and receives early treatment the child will be fine. The problem is primarily one of poverty, where children are not fit and healthy in the first place and are slow to receive treatment through lack of transportation. Essentially Uganda needs to be developed. Unfortunately the elites are interested in their own back pockets and not the plight of their fellow man. They are happy for NGO's working in their country when really they should be embarrassed. They'd rather cream off from the organisations then lift a finger to actually to make real change.

One of the best things you can do for your immune system is to incorporate a little extended fasting into your lifestyle. It not only heals the body and speeds up the immune system, but heals the immune system itself! Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers, but some patients may need continued acid reducation medication while fasting. Telomeres are lengthened and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles as much as 1/3 of all immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses. Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, which destroys them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. You might have thrown a link to the Bible in there as well. Fasting not only focuses the body but also the mind (and spirit). The only thing the Bible differs from the scientific perspective above is ... fasting people aren't really supposed to talk about fasting, or indicate to others that they are in fast. It's an intensely personal action/experience that draws a soul closer to it's Source.

The western world have learned recently Uganda Goverment has found 12trillion dollars in gold in the Ugandan gold mine. Instead of allowing other countries to come in and dug all the gold out of the soil,while people are dying from all types of diseases...used that gold money to build clinics in the villages for the villagers to have some kind of health care. Used the gold money wisely. To help the poor.

High body temp is good. High temp makes virus less active & immune system very active. This is why you should never use Tylenol etc, as it lowers body temp. Then your body is fighting not only the virus but also fighting the Tylenol as the body is trying to raise temperature. Fever is good, don't fight it, help it.

@LTPottenger
@LTPottenger Год назад
That's terrible. When you have malaria, you can have damage to your immune system and organs for years. Some extended fasting can quickly repair your immune system and also work wonders for any other health issues. Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil. No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. Ministry of Health: Historical perspective of Malaria Prevention and Control in Uganda Current malaria control and prevention has a significant retrospective road map. Spanning the 1990s to date, investments in Malaria have been made to achieve and maintain protection of the population at risk of malaria. Malaria case management in Uganda The first antimalarial drug policy recommended Chloroquine (CQ) as the first line regimen and Sulphadoxine-Pyrimethamine (SP) as the second line regimen with quinine as the treatment of choice for several malaria and in case of resistance to CQ or SP. However, because of resistance the policy was changed in 2000 to a combination of CQ+SP.

I had Falciparum. Broke out while on the ocean, sailing from Papua New Guinea to Solomon islands. Felt almost in coma in middle of night, while in bad weather. We made emergency stopp on Bougainville Island, here a doctor came abord our sailing ship. He did a test. So far I did not know it was malaria. BUT, it turned out I had TWO types of malaria at once. Falciparum AND malaria Vivax. I was 60 then (2016) and felt REALLY sick! Doc gave me meds against Falcparum, which made me feel a lot better. Couple days later we left Bougainville, me now taking meds aginst Vivax. 3x2 pills a day. After sailing a day we stopped over at Treasure Island (Yes, that exists...) and I went ashore feeling VERY week. Next day we (4 people aboard) sailed to Gizo Island. After another two days I felt SMASHED, could barely walk. Went to hospital there. Australian doctor checked my hemoglobin level, which was at a life threatening low level. Because, he explained, the meds against Vivax, which I had an allergic reaction towards. I stayed at emergency room for couple days, getting blood infusions several times. As it turned out from the staff of the local yacht club. This I found out after leaving hospital. Made me "blood brother" of the people of Gizo, which I am very greatful to be now... It took me months to fully recover.

I took Malaron, as profilactic medicine, maybe it helped a little. It is strange, because I was with others in the same appartment, and I was the only one bitten. Maybe it has something to do with pH of the skin. High fiber, diarrhea, headache, body pain, sweating a lot... not a very nice experience.
