Matt. 6:7 "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like a pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words." Ecc. 5:2; Matt. 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
St. Mathew Chapter 6 says how to pray - Jesus Christ himself said how to pray and what to pray. Do we need a deviation from the teachings of Jesus Christ through your interpretation? Anyway, you can fool some people. Instead of deleting my comment, pl reply.
Noone fooling anyone here. Jesus taught how to pray. The pastor is going to the deep meanings of it. Eg: the story of Good samaritan is simply a story for sunday school nursery class but when you do masters in theology, the story dont change but you dont learn the same was as a simple story like the nursery group learned rather they learn the deep meanigs of the story. Doopam used to be symbol of worship in old testament and jesus said OT is the shadow of the new but in NT prayer is classed as dhoopam so you dont need a physical one as prayer is a symbol of worship. I request all Christians, irrespective of the denomination, pl read The Bible more before listening to imagination, to understand deviations. This sermon is full of deviations from The Bible.
