Hey everyone, I've got some exciting news for those planning a trip to Malaysia! Starting from December 1, 2023, until December 31, 2024, Indians can enjoy visa-free entry for a whole year. That means, if you have an Indian passport, you can chill in Malaysia for up to 30 days without worrying about a tourist visa. This cool change is all about boosting tourism!
Now, let me break down what you need:
Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months.
Have a confirmed return flight ticket.
Show that you've got a place to crash with a hotel booking confirmation.
Prove you've got enough funds, around $500 for 15 days or $1000 for a month.
Don't forget the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC).
Quick note: The immigration folks want everyone, including you cool Indian travelers, to fill in their info on the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online at the JIM portal. You can do this up to 3 days before you touch down in Malaysia. Easy peasy!

@softwaretraveller - Hi, I am travelling to Bali next week and just realised that AirAsia doesn't transit my checked in baggage. In this case, should I exit, collect bag and pass immigration? If yes, should I be filling out the MDAC? The form has the mandatory fields to enter stay details in Malaysia which we don't have, so how do I fill? Also, is there a fare for this MDAC? Hi bro, We are travelling from Auckland to Cochin via Kualalampur. We arrive at Kualalampur on November 31st, 2024 and our return flight from Kualalampur to Cochin is on December 1st, 2024. We have got 29 hours layover at Kualalampur. So we are planning to hangout during this time and probably book a hotel room outside the airport. Do we need to get a visa for this?

In my travel scenario, I'll initially enter Malaysia, then journey to Thailand, followed by a return to Malaysia from Thailand, and finally depart back to India from Malaysia. Given the multiple entries into Malaysia, I understand the necessity of completing the Malaysian Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) twice. Can you please confirm if we can fill out the MDAC twice in the span of 10 days. Trying to make the below plan work : Complete the MDAC on April 29th for the entry into Malaysia on May 2nd. Complete another MDAC on May 4th for the re-entry into Malaysia from Thailand on May 7th.

Yes that' shouldn't be a problem IMO MDAC needs to be filled every time you enter malaysia however kindly check the official website once which is in description

If i m going thailand from india via Malaysia n m staying Malaysia both at the going time of thailand and coming back also .....so that e visa i applied at the time of going will work at the time of exit also for the next time entry. Hi, I have booked my air tickets from same airlines Air Asia- BLR to DPS and I have a layover in KUL for 4h 25 min. There are 2 PNR. But, my arrival and departure is from same Terminal- Kuala Lumpur Intl Terminal 2. But at the end of my ticket it is mentioned I need to change terminal I.e., 2 to T2. Can you please clarify on- 1. Hi, I'm going to Bali this week. I booked ticket from Kochi to Kulala Lumpur and Kulala Lumpur to Bali in different PNR. Both flights in the same terminal and no check-in luggage. There are 5 hours of layover.So, how will it be the transit process in Kulala Lumpur Airport?
