Malcolm and Edrisa being the best part of Prodigal Son 

She’s so passionate about her job and she’s always so good at it. Plus her flirting with bright doesn’t even distract her in any way. They remind me of Harry and Ginny whenever everyone else would make fun of her for her crush but Harry was so gentle and kind towards her always.

Exactly!! I love that about Malcolm. He is such a beautiful soul. He never hurts anyone’s feelings but sadly he knows what it feels like to be shunned or mocked and I love, love the fact that he never makes Edrisa feel that way. I really hope she gets over him and they can form a strong friendship.💙

@@nixvon see everyone can tell they want to try and make malcolm and dani endgame like you said, but if i'm being honest i just don't see any chemistry between them that they should be a couple, i think it would be awkward having them as a couple, i see them being good friends, but as a couple just seems like it would be odd. dani is his work wife at most

@@JP-pp2tn Same. I don't feel the chemistry between Dani & Malcolm. But also, Dani's too 'normal'. I feel like whomever they have Malcolm with as endgame needs to be quirky or silly or something. Someone not 'normal' in the traditional sense. And that's partly why I feel like Edrisa is a better fit. Plus they do have a cute relationship already

I don't ship Maldrisa, but I agree that Dani isn't someone good for Malcolm. Malcolm always have to walk on eggshells when he talks to her, he is not free to be himself around Dani. Moreover, I just find Dani very toxic. Just ask any mental health professionnal, any person who knows what Malcolm feels regarding his mental health issues, or any person with basic empathy, and they will all tell you that Brightwell is utterly toxic. I really don't get why abusive behaviour is romantized like this on screen. Dani physically and emotionally hurting Malcolm, controlling him, triggering his trauma and not respecting his boundaries isn't "cute" at all. I don't get why the screen writers ignored it.
