Tripple Falic you meant pay raise. And it was not particularly funny anyway. And I bet you love Rush Limburger while true wisdom is lost on your comments.
What a truly great man he was... I love this speech! And as a "white man" I know he wasn't referring to me, but to those who only look like me. It's not the color of the man that sets him apart, but what is inside the man.
He was referring to you quite a bit brother. He was saying his view of white people changed after visiting Mecca, and that the best yardstick to measure another man is through his actions and not his skin color
@@Seattlefan77 In the best of my ability to interrupt what you've said, I agree with you wholeheartedly... and that is that it is definitely the content of one's character and the manner that one displays one's character that is the defining quantity of that individual.
But his lessons are lost on the people who were born long after his death. People are obsessed with labels, and are oblivious to character today. prejudice is alive within minority groups today- like never before. People get a passion behind what they're told to get angry at, not what they have thought out independently, or personally experienced. People are triggered by what words they're taught to be triggered at. Almost like a kind of "dog whistle"they have been taught to hear.
What he's talking about is not looking at titles, but actually looking beneath that at the character of an individual. He's talking about how being certain things,( in people's minds) determines what that person is like as far as personality goes, and how that is a misnomer, although in certain cultures it carries an identity- beyond just skin color, that people accept as a given, by virtue of being that skin color. Or belonging to a certain religion. If you're a Jew, you must be greedy. if You're a Muslim: you would have to be an intolerant murderer, of anybody that wasn't Muslim.
Thats called shahadah in İslam. He probably alive right now. And "dont speak of them as dead, he who gives his live for İslam doesnt die, they live on"
@Frank Paya his lessons are not lost but what white people are doing that creating divisions among black people - divide and conquer . so only small number of blacks know malcom x , whites have delibertely created black minority dividing blacks and rendering lower bblacks poor , knowledge less .
well he was probably more relaxed after being allowed to engage in muta (pleasure marriage) with a 9 year-old Arab girl. ...Muhammad calls sub-saharan Africans the "Raisinheads" in Quran. It also notes approx 20 times Muhammad was WHITE. You NEVER READ the Quran, did you? Anta Muslim? Munafiq?
what kind of nonsense are you saying!! muta! saudi arabia never allowed that dude , he visited saudi arabia and not Iran , i think you should redo your homework and stop throwing this allegations on a man who with the grace of allah could understand quran and islam better than u did apparently
Sorry but that isn't possible, he may have gotten smarter, but if he was wiser he would of said Jesus is the Son of the Father, and I am now a Christian. But he was smart its just to bad he wasn't wise, and he was an unknowing Devil worshiper
After reading the "Autobiography of Malcolm X, at age 17, I made many good changes in my life. Dignity, integrity and impeccability became my ideal focus. Forty years later, I'm proud of my life, and the characters of my children who are disciplined, purposeful, conscious, and give back to the community. Malcolm X was the epitome of impeccability; a true man, an example and teacher.
My dear black brothers and sisters. We've been divided to long. Still living and treating one another according to the Jim crow law. When we come together as one. No one can stop us. I truly love you all.
KENT J we came to ur country with Islam so prepare for shahada if u want the truth.

@@hanibanny4853 Why? You people started Black Lives (Lies) Matter and we see how well that turned out. A Marxist terrorist hate group that riots and destroys cities in this nation in support of useless thugs. Their inactions caused $5 BILLION dollars worth of damage in 2020. Do me a favor and don't start another "movement". How about finding some SOLUTIONS through non-violent means? Martin Luther King, Jr. is rolling over in his grave. I respect MLK way more than Malcolm X. Malcolm X said things to purposely anger and upset people of all races. He wasn't all that. X was a "cult of personality". That's it.
I was 12 when I first saw the movie Malcolm X, it was the first time I heard of him. He inspired me at that age and I started to read about Islam. Thank you Malcolm X! May Allah grant you peace and blessings! Allahu Akbar♥️
I remember when he made the speech, it seems like yesterday to me. The heartbreaking part is how little has changed. If anything, we need his clarity and courage more than ever, but he's gone, we need to find them in ourselves.
***** hahahaa oh you're one of those brain washed illuminati people? I remember believing in it sooo bad when i was umm a kid? grow up I like taking selfies like that too, am i one of them? Omg so funny
@@kevparso4820 The reason is most likely that his early views are the ones that stuck. He is often painted as the opposite to MLK, the violent solution, which has some truth. Malcolm X's views shifted significantly to be more reconciliatory in his later years, which he speaks to in this recording, and unfortunately this doesn't get as much attention.
The importance to grab from this is not the fact he fought for equality amongst white and blacks. The thing that I appreciate the most about this man is, he follows his heart/logic he was well fed protected under nation of islam. But he chose to follow his heart and follow the real islam despite the comforts he lost. He got assassinated but his legacy remains because he followed his heart over stability/comfort. That is truly honourable.
Elijah Muhammad gave the Black man a mythology using Islamic and Arab decadent history to raise up the Blackman. Eastern Islam has never had any connection or empathy for the Blackman’s cause in America. Malcom was the greatest recruiter the NOI ever had and made a great contribution to his people. However, he was aware of Eastern Muslims and their lack of support for Elijah Muhummad because they never understood his Mythology. Black America needed Elijah and Malcolm. They both woke us up. Anytime there is a disagreement between two people doesn’t mean one is unnecessary. It just means that they have differences. They both were sincere same as Dubois and Booker T. Washington. Elijah like Garvey was a separatist and Malcolm became an integrationist. Plain and simple. We are better off today for both of them. Now, find yourself some peace.
beautiful, eloquent speaker speaking truths and seeing truth from both sides, white and black, muslim and non-muslim - he got it, we need to learn from him
It'd be unfair of me to give him that title. There are too many who've influenced me, but no doubt Malcolm ranks in my top 5 which is crazy considering I've only scratched the surface of his legacy
Watching, listening, and reading about Malcolm X and black history in general makes me proud to be black, this race went through so much struggle in America but we are still here its amazing and so uplifting I commend Malcolm's generation and our generation definitely can learn from it. As one race and that is human race we can always learn from our history.
@plantation free By your statement I could see you're not free from the PLANTATION. GOD IS ONE and HE has no partner. Jesus was just a servant of the SUPREME GOD.
plantation free You are a moron We have to respect And accept each other instead of hating and swearing 🤬 Everyone has their own right and choice Live and let live others Peace ✌️ to all human being
I'm white, but I have unlimited respect for this man. He was amazing. Brilliant. A hero. I truly think it's disgusting how little schools teach about him. I didn't even know he existed until I started doing research outside of school. So amazing.
Well stated; I agree completely. I am a high school history teacher, and I'm convinced that Malcolm X may have been the most charismatic, forceful, and courageous American figure of the twentieth century. It's a tragedy that his life was cut short -- we all lost when that happened.
I read a juvenile biography about Malcolm X prior Spike Lee's film. I saw the film and was rightly impressed. I looked into him again just prior to RU-vid. But now that RU-vid has all these videos .....I have a profound respect on how brilliant he was, how quick on his feet he is in interview situations, how respectful, yet forceful he is.....he was an amazing man. There are none like him anymore. He says provocative things. Public figures today only do that by accident. He was a great man.
10:46, Great Malcolm X mentions my mother tongue Swahili and makes feel good. He traveled to Tanzania (then Tanganyika) in the midst of African countries independence era and shared his expertise to our African leaders. May Allah grant you Jannah
chris perricone Chris, one of the saddest aspects of this country is whites listening to media idiots vs working individually to be open minded. It's sad that our country hates people like this while they are living.
And I appreciate you man. "Thank you for being a friend, traveled down the road and back again, my heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant. And if you threw a party, and invited everyone you knew, you would see the biggest gift would be from me, and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend."
Awe inspiring how men like MLK and Shabbaz made their stand against injustice and prejudice. One can only imagine the shape of our world if they only had the chance to make it out of the 60's alive. It makes me proud to be a human being with all the honest, open discourse that plays out in these comments sections. From the internal machinations of this caucasian Australian. Peace.
fantastic speech & insight into the struggle of the African American and suppressed around the world, the sad fact is this was made 50 years ago and is still so resonate today in 2013, if only there are more people like Malcolm today what a wonderful world it would be.
Whenever a word of truth is spoken, it naturally resonates with the truth spirit of any other truthseeker.Malcolm does that so naturally. May the ALMIGHTY ALLAH bless his soul.
I am a white male. When Malcolm first came to the scene, I disliked him because I felt he leaned towards violence. As I grew older and as Malcolm began to express himself with a little more patience and love, I began to recognize the greatness of this man. He wanted for his Black brothers/sisters to have self respect and lead a rightful life. What he wanted was proper. He was a hero for the human race. I wish that he were alive today because I believe totally that he would NOT respect Obama. I believe that Malcolm loved his country and just wanted an equal playing ground. He did NOT want entitlements. His leadership represented the best of his culture. If you lived in his shoes and history, you would appreciate his goal. I am a conservative and know that Obama is destroying the UsA with his effort to redistribute the wealth to all the third world countries and weaken us to make us more like the rest of the world. Malcolm X would not accept Obama's ideology. I wish a good Black man who also loves his country and does not want to create a dependent society of blacks waiting for their entitlements comes along. I would vote for that man gladly. A man who wishes to protect his race would not want white folks to not protect themselves. He is a great man. I wish more people knew his history.
Malcolm would've had the highest respect for Obama because he is a black man. Malcolm is Obama's role model who was changed just like you people. White people don't really understand black people, or they wouldn't make that statement. Malcolm wanted to work with his people and would've welcome Obama. Most black people didn't want anything to do with Malcolm when he was out in the streets recruiting for the messenger. What did you brothers and sisters thimk Obama was going to do for us.
We don't need to have Malcolm X back, what is need is a new generation of people, standing up for what's right, with conviction. Fearless, together and learned by book, experience and empathy.
X was a great speaker, no um's, uhh'ss, or ya know what I mean's. At the beginning of this speech he implicated that he had been lied to by the black muslims but he did not out right say that, he realized the truth when he went on his pilgrimage, he was on the verge of becoming more influential than EM and LF. You can tell that Obama has studied his speeches, one of the reasons I voted for him twice but the people we vote for are not in charge of this country, ISIS is the new Sandinistas of Nicaragua with Reagan in the 80's, the US war machine arms then disarms, war pushing, I like when X said you have to "Speak their language" in order to communicate, and it's sad that the universal way to communicate in this world is violence.
Powerful words spoken by a powerful man. It's a shame that we are unable unite and make a stand like we should but we've been divided and all but conquered.
How can you dislike this? Malcolm was necessary in this time period. He was a revolutionary. He wasn't racist. He simply wanted peace. However, if anyone threatened you, he believed you should defend yourself.
May Allah have mercy on your soul my brother in Islam... The great religion that does not distinguish between Black, White, Yellow or Brown or whatever color you may be. Whatever status your at If your a Muslim you are all the same in the eyes of Allah, and the only difference is the level of piety a person may have or be at. The way of Allah and the teachings of our beloved prophet Muhammed(PBUH) Allah hu Akbar!!!
