Nice video. I've visited Maldives 5 times and arguably my favourite tropical island country along with Seychelles, Mauritius, Indonesia, Jamaica and St Lucia (plus some of Malaysian, Philippines and Thailand islands). Water villas are quite expensive but it does depend on the time of the season you go. We stayed in water villas 3 times, a beach villa once and a garden room once. We went in February and March every time and yes it is expensive but you can still get good deals. In terms of transfers, I do prefer seaplane but this is only restricted to some resorts - others you have to take the speedboat only. It is a strict Muslim country (I'm a muslim born in England) so no pork or alcohol when you enter into Maldives. Yep change your money to US Dollars at Male Airport and yes most resorts won't have ATMs but they will take credit cards for payments. For muslim tourists, most resort islands have a mosque (or two or three). For people from UK, I'll stop either in Qatar or Dubai for a few hours for connecting flights to Male as I don't think there are direct flights from London Heathrow to Male unless I am very much mistaken. Food-wise, most resorts serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian. In terms of things to do, most resorts will do Island Hopping Tours, Snorkelling, Trip to Male city, Trips to secluded islands depending on what the resort has on for offer. In terms of prices for the places I've stayed, Gili Lankanfushi and Baros were very expensive, Paradise Island Resort was OK but I think Reethi and Meeru were reasonably priced even in the peak months but book early and you would normally get a good deal

Maldives are the best tourism destinations especially for the peoples who love different types of Sea foods....

Finally going to check off the maldives from my bucket list. I booked a 6 night stay in 2 months, just myself and a backback 😁 can’t wait to experience actual white beaches and clear island waters for the first time!

over water villas are very hot during the days...get the beach villas instead for a lot of trees and shades

interesting what you said about over water bungalows. I don't think I have ever heard such an honest review of them being overpriced. I've only ever read how wonderful they are, so to hear your comments was very refreshing, issues I had never thought of. Maybe a beach bungalow would be our best option and of course would save a substantial amount of money. Thank very much.

Hey guys kudos for making one of the finest informative travel guides I have ever seen. Only thing that could be added was a bit of an info on resort selection indicating which resorts have better coral reefs around them for better snorkeling opportunities since snorkeling is one of the main attractions around Maldives . Nevertheless , it was a delight to watch this, thank you. 👍🏻👌🏼🙏

We've visited sun island for our Honey moon trip. The place is amazing, food was amazing and I prefer beach bungalow over water villa, though I tried one night at the water villa I liked the beach bunglow more. I recommend trying water villa for one night. For us it costed 45,500 for one person for a 4night 5day stay which included 3 course meal and I loved everything they served

Indians do not require visa for stay upto 90 days of arrival

Now indigo flying directly to male from major Indian cities..it has become relatively cheaper..but those resorts are very very expensive.. A good one starts from 50k per night..

I have a question about water villas. I dont know how to swim. Are the water levels under the villas deep? As a non swimmer, would I still enjoy a villa if its too deep. I like to spend time in water. I just dont know how to swim.

Sun island on the video. I was there and it was amazing. They also spray the island for mosquitoes, so no worry about that. In 2019 I go again to Maldives but to another island. Can't wait to swim with sharks 😁

Maybe someone could tell which of the coral reefs are still nice to see? I and my husband love diving and snorkeling so we can`t to decide which coral reefs a in better condition Seychelles or Maldives. It`s so sad that in both countries corals are dying. :(

Most islands aren't as big. So watervillas are a great option. Secondly, Watervillas are starting categories in MANY resorts so they tend to be cheaper than beach villas. (Villa hotels - I'm assuming you went to either paradise or sun island - are comparatively economical properties hence, water villas are categorised on the more expensive end of the spectrum.) All resorts are on private islands. This makes the Maldives such a unique holiday. Guesthouses and Hotels are on local islands. Your point of reaching the resort at the end of the day is flawed. Should you have an early morning arrival, seaplanes will get you to the resort at least by mid day at the latest. The same follows for domestic flights. Seaplanes are not allowed to commute post 4 pm so it is immensely unlikely for you to reach at the end of the day if you are staying at a resort away from the capital of Malé It rains all through the year. If the temperature crosses above 30 degrees, you experience a little rain. Furthermore, like India, Maldives is a vast country. If it is raining in Male, it wont necessarily be raining in the Ari atoll for example. . There is a set schedule for seaplanes which gets decided as per arrivals. Clients will not be left hanging around the airport. Seaplanes are recommended as certain islands are very far away. Speedboat transfers will not only take longer (3-4 hours) plus they will be more expensive (800-900 USD at the minimum) - since this will all be arranged for you especially. I have been to the Maldives almost 35 times now since i was 2 years old. Some of your observations are spot on but some of them are a little misinformed.

first of all, thanks for such a beautiful video 👍 BUDGET TRIP how much the cost for 3N_3D for 2 person (private resort) including rooms rent for 3 different locations, breakfast & dinner, local transportation( with delhi to Maldives flight) , at least 3 activities, and all extra charges suggest me 'best and cheep' 3 different locations in Maldives that we visit in 3 days.

Because usually, kids wish to a play zone or a fun area where they can spend time playing activities or games etc. Only a clam beach might get them bore.
