I'm from the Republic of Maldives. Yes, Maldives is a full Muslim nation. Maldives was invaded by Portuguese, Dutch, South Indians and British. All these invasions were to eradicate Islam from the islands. But all those invasions failed because of the faith in the Islam in the Maldivians. Islam was introduced to Maldives by a Muslim traveler from Morocco to the king 8 century ago. He converted into Islam from Buddhism and Islam took only 5 to 10 years to spread and that united the islands.

I Love My Islam

I remember Maldivian students at the dormitory in the University of Qatar. Very nice people. They just stayed to themselves so I never knew much about them. How is life there? Is it hard to relocate and just stay?

you seem very biased, arnotakalling. Do you know the people you are defending, the Hindu tamils, even tried to capture the Maldives 20 years ago. Held innocent Maldivians hostage in their own country making them human shields and without giving them water to drink.
