No hugs, no touch for male preschool educators? The stigma of being labelled as a potential sexual predator still remains in parents' minds. Male teachers in early childhood sector play an important role too - just listen to Andre and Yi Rong who shared with us just how much they love their students, and how they navigate around the 'no touching' policy.

I am a male Early childhood educator too and i can definitely relate to all these. It is definitely challenging but the sense of fulfillment is filling.

I feel seen in this video as a male preschool educator in-the-making. The struggles and stigma is still quite real in the industry and I often feel worried on how parents especially will perceive my presence in the classroom. As much as it has been fun and fulfilling interacting and teaching children, sometimes it can perceived in the wrong idea so I really hope that male educators will soon be normalised and accepted soon. Thank you teachers for sharing your stories and perspectives and here's to all the preschool teachers, male or female. Y'all are amazing❤

I did see male pre-school teachers in the childcare sector, and I must say they rocks as they use their own ways to touch the children's heart. And from the way the children and parents interact with the teachers, it shown how much effort they put in to let the parents recognise them n their effort for their child. 🎉🎉🎉

I feel that Hug is alright especially for young children. Of course like shower , cleaning need female colleagues help .

I feel the entire education field in all levels can do with more passionate male teachers. . :) I think it helps children form a healthy sense of male mentor / teacher/ respectful authority figures to guide them in life. Also, some children who come from homes without healthy male figure/missing male figures in their homes would certainly benefit from the love and guidance of male teachers/mentors. :)
