I don’t know why but I’m some country’s this is blocked I will try my best to sort this out it may end up that segments of this video will be cut out Discord: / discord
this was so awesome bro! very fun to watch, matt’s b♭1’s were insane, i hadn’t heard them before. you got a bunch of stuff in here that i haven’t seen yet so props to you for the research. i really appreciate being in here! good stuff 😎
The fact that tim storms can hold a FREAKING G#-1 fry note so consistantly absolutely amazes me. And also thank you for acknowledging his Eb1 as a chest note
@@Marcell0Bass I think his notes down to b0 sounds chest. People don't really know what chest notes that low are supposed to sound like because such a small percentage of people are able to do it. Chest notes will inevitably sound fryish that low i think
@@kristianeskelund4420 not really, there's a vocal placement after switching chest voice (M1) to M0 (fry voice or strohbass voice) and a person can try to keep a continuous, smooth sound/vocal placement similar to chest voice, although it would still not be chest voice while sounding similar to chest voice, I call that strohbass voice to differentiate from the common fry voice
Tim storms!!!!! 😳 I can literally shake my hand as fast as his vocal folds were vibrating!!!! It’s the other way, his vocal folds are vibrating as slow as I can shake my hand 🖐🏻
@@jackfishbock5102 i'll do you one better, my lowest chest note as a tenor is a Bb1. lowest note ever was a G1 in a chest/ fry mix. currently i can sub a C1 (and it actually has an audible note to it too)
I swear G1 is the most terrifying note to hear. Not because it's the lowest or the most musical but because as soon as you hear a strong chest G1 from a singer you immediately know that: 1- You've just met a serious bass 2- He can go even lower and the only things more terrifying than a G1 are the notes below it (I'm looking at you E1 😨)
I'd love to hear female singers' low notes like C3, A2, and maybe even G2. EDIT: I forgot about E2. Perhaps there are female singers who go even than that.
Steve Cross definitely isn't using chest voice at 13:54 or 16:11. His voice is pretty high: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jwIQHpP4LeE.html Edit: high in the sense of not hitting those notes in chest :D
It sounds like he’s right at the bottom of his chest like Genes E1. Also Matt says he doesn’t use fry because he doesn’t like the sound so I doubt he’d mix chest and fry
Hey Marcello, I’m not a super bass guy, but I can get low. My friend made a cover of Misty Mountains, and it would mean a lot if you could check it out. It’s Misty Mountains with Brady O’Brien and Ian Corrigan. Thank you if you see this!
8:53 Geoff's G1 is the best for me, he can do as well as the Oktavists. I think he is an oktavist, if you stop to look he has the same range. I know, it sounds crazy, but he can do a lot and better. Oktavists use a lot of chest fry. If Geoff uses this technique, he can reach a D1. But I think I may be going too far, after all the tone of an oktavist is much lower. So that is my opinion
Geoff is not an oktavist. in fact, oktavist isn't even a voice type, but rather a vocal role. in that case, i think you mean "basso profondo" if you're talking about voice type. even so, he still wouldn't be a profondo, he loses resonance around D2/C#2, while oktavist can resonate MUCH lower. although he does have clean G1's in chest, that doesn't mean he could be an oktavist. also range doesn't always determine one's voice type. also Geoff apparently doesn't know what chest-fry is :')
HellKaktus Itop I was told it was in crazy little thing called love but I’ve never found the D2. Apparently it’s not great quality and sort of not countable but idk
@@Marcell0Bass wait what the youtuber comented on MY comments ong im such a fan you are acually the first youtuber to comment or "reply" on my comment and thanks m8 keep on making videos singing and being happy peace :D
Unpopular opinion: I think that tenors singing in the upper second octave like Mitch Grassi and Brendon Urie sound more pleasant than basses singing in the low second/upper first octave
I want to sing bass by gen McDonald. I can’t find the song anywhere but it’s at 2:50 in ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zveL3uFh-3w.html
