💯 I can see why some are like he’s confusing but he’s “reaching the lost at any cost” growing up in a holiness we do things by the book. However Mali shows his personal experience with God that most people who weren’t bought up in CHURCH can relate to. It might not be the same way we were taught but he’s planting seeds. We can’t force people to Christ but we can let them know and illustrate by our way of living.

I appreciate Mali’s conversation and confidence in the Lord and the love he expresses. Inspiring

Yeah it sounds like he has experienced a lot in life. I can tell at times it seems he is trying to sort his thoughts out so that he is understood by people who are listening. I think it's hard for people to understand something they never experienced (such as a relationship with God) But him explaining the lyrics makes since to me.

I always have to start off by saying how much I love this man! I then have to acknowledge the anointing and gifts God has blessed him with! He is super talented and his gifts reach people in a non traditional manner! Paul said in 1Corinthians “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some” this is exactly what Mali does! I will always love who God created him to be!

An on going relationship with God will keep you alert to the pitfalls of this world because your friends can’t , you have to tap into that higher power that only comes from the word of God.

It's interesting that the interview was centered around deciphering the lyrics...and at the end, the host says, "Listening to you, it seems you have it all down pat...but nobody can have it down pat though, right Mali?" ...idk... but it seems like Mali is trying to find the middle ground b/w both worlds, trying to convince himself that balance is possible. No judgment. That's just a slippery and scary place to be. I pray for him. He's still talented, but his annointence and soul is something to protect and I'm not sure if he is where he needs to be yet with God to really reach those unbelievers without getting (more?) lost himself.

I understood him. I think because I'm like he is. Some people are pictorial in thought and trying to keep the continuity in clear in conversation with people when your mind is constantly moving from one illustration to another is easy to not complete each example before move on to another. But, other peeke who are wired similarly can keep up because they think in a similarities fashion. I think interviews that aren't super limited in time are best for Mali. There's so much he wants to share in a very short amount of time. So, you can see him trying to give more concise illustration rather than meaty ones. I've been there.

The transparency of this interview has helped me respect this artist all the more. He never came Across like he knew it all . He simply lives honest enough where he can help many of us pass these test. Living epistle.

I liked the message and how he continue to mention christ, because he keeps your step, look at the footsteps not the oil slick. Guy sounds like he really reads, and this shows as well that we all gotta be girded because fame in this world for a believe does not exist and I think brother. Got a taste of that and is struggling, but know that as well people will always say this and that, but what matters is how the Most High God views you. He still alright, but needs the correction so love can flow through his pen.

Love the word choice in his music. People hear but they are not listening......He is reaching people who can't receive church because they have not represented the Father or his Son or his Spirit......He is preaching. Mali just keep on creating. It can be difficult to tell one's story. It will always sound incoherent when you are trying not to speak plainly. It is like a poem, there are layers of meaning you will always unearth even years later. Creating is not necessarily for others, in as much as it can sometimes bless others. Really glad this lyric explanation was given. It really helped. I only had one issue ... Jesus told Peter upon this rock I will build my church, not Paul. Paul was struck blind while on his way to Damascus to further persecute the Church and he had a period of 3 years before he was released to preach the gospel. I believe it was during that time that God revealed a lot to him. He was also pretty educated in scripture already so he just needed a revelation. Also, Jesus transfigured to 3 people, Peter, James and John. They were his inner circle. Other than that, dope song! Oh one more thing, what is he wearing on his neck? Child... spirits!
