Or he was just lucky to be at the right place at the right time. There are probably millions of people who would've done the same thing in his place but they just weren't in his place. Maybe they were somewhere else doing something similar but there was nobody there to record it. Not taking away from him in the slightest, he was a hero for what he did. It's just not divine or miraculous that a fellow human acted as a fellow human.

i dont think it is done as a sign of being respectful/polite i think he is a tad bit shy and nervous. Understandably so, hes been thrown into the worldwide media and his life has changed overnight. Rightfully so. This isnt to say i dont think he is a polite and respectful guy, you can tell he is, but the part you linked was more social anxiety over courtesy.

@@concentratecorner1744 it is just the matter of understanding culture from my own. In my country that way of standing is the sign of courtesy and I think it is much or less similar to his. Anxiety is too strong a word to describe this manner

@@greathero4758 Anxiety just means you are anxious.. that isnt a serious thing. Butterflies in your stomach is being anxious, being excited and restless waiting to leave can mean you have anxiety as you are anxious to go. And so on. You are thinking of depression. Anxiety just means you are nervous, which when you are on national television, meeting world leaders and are the spotlight of attention that is a very easy thing to come by. You can tell how he avoids the eye contact and eventually works up the courage to raise his head that he is likely just a bit embarrassed being the center of attention. Not everyone is used to that, id imagine especially since he came from Mali and was just a immigrant one day and a national hero the next.

Most young people today tend to be loud and agressive in their speech. They miaght feel empowered by being rude. Mammoudu Gassama is the oppossite; calm, polite, and he thinks before he gives an opinion. He is a great young man.
