ヴェル・エール ～空白の瞬間の中で～'s lyrics are so fucking depressing though. It's about the loss of love and wallowing in the sadness of it all... It's super poetic and really hard to translate, but I think the whole meaning of the song is "You don't know what you have until it's gone", basically. The song title translates roughly to "Towards her~ Among these empty moments~", and the song is about wallowing in empty, bygone moments.
gackto looks so beautiful and delicate mana looks so gorgeous and soft kami looks so bountiful and fragile yu~ki looks so handsome and attractive közi looks so mysterious and pleasant i really enjoyed this..

Es cierto, esta película es un más complemento de la historia de Merveilles (una introducción), no es una película que vaye a competir en una taquilla o hecho con propósitos desligados de su música. Aún así, esto no se podría haber logrado sin las figuras carismáticas de todos integrantes. Mana-sama ya venía ideando historias trágicas desde Memoire. Fue un gran consumidor de muchas películas.
currently doing a complete analysis on the entire merveilles album and i just got to vers elle. came back here as quick as i could because i remembered it had it's own film as well
currently only 8 and a half minutes in and i've written about just everything seen so far. there's already a lot of symbolism and i believe one scene here could be the reason why illuminati might not exactly be so out of place in the album unlike what i previously thought.
update! the exact tarot card set that is shown in this movie is the Medieval Scapini Tarot By Luigi Scapini. i believe the cards that are shown when fortune teller/psychic(?) közi is revealing the stuff are the empress, the high priestess, four of coins, strength, the fool, and death
continuing to work on this right now. for now i've just referred to the members as their specific roles and all. like gackt being the protagonist, yu~ki being the butler, and so on. also, i noticed that what kami shows when slitting his wrist in front of gackt at that place is in the exact same way that the performer in that dream (közi) did to himself. once i finish these notes i'll try to make a separate set of notes so i can exactly figure out what's going on with scenes like this. but for now i'll just assume it's some sort of revelation thing.

alright... wow. just finished with the pv and the film and i noticed some things that i didn't before.. multiple things at the end also appear in the beginning. not to mention the foreshadowing at the beginning of the film in the dream that protagonist/hero-gackt has. some of the stuff i noticed also ties into gekka no yasoukyoku! this'll be fun.. also from the looks of it, the mysterious book man might also be played by gackt? i can't clearly see it but at the end he looks similar to him. i'll just assume that it is him just to stay safe, and also because it kind of makes sense now. i thought it was yu~ki before lol rn i'm about to start on the lyrics.. looks like this is the end of my comments all here!
Love it! Why did I never see this before. Now the 'Bel Air' music video makes sense. Its very well made. They all looked and acted great. Aw poor Mana a prostitute and a maid lol. He's so beautiful though.

I'm actually working on an English cover of the song that follows in the end of the movie, Bel Air. I've already covered a couple of Malice Mizer's songs and this is going to be really fun. If anyone wants to help me try to understand this short film I'd greatly appreciate it, it would help me create accurate translyrics

wow I haven't watched this since like 2008! I remember I didn't enjoy it much because it's sad but mostly because of all the veins cutting/blood sight x_x I averted my eyes this time as it shocked me the first time I watched, though it was okay in Bara no Konrei because it was less "blatant" and better scened, idk how to epxlain...but here it was too graphic for me...anyway the music is beautiful I had forgotten about it! and i didn't know the track names were in french :3 I thought they sounded accurate until I saw some franponais XD but it's a nice effort! thank you for the share !

getting drunk to forget about the curse. maybe his character didn't fully believe it and he later on regretted not spending more time with his wife, which is kinda what the lyrics of the song are about.
I've watched this movie 3 times but i still dont understand anything why did kami slit his wrist why did gackt ignore him who did gackt bump into who was the guy with the book why was gackt drunk most of the time
i feel as though Kami slit his wrist in front of Gackt to symbolize the danger that his wife was in ? i’m not sure why he ignored him though 😢 and i also think Gackt was drinking to keep his mind off of the curse , as a coping mechanism . that’s my theory !^_^
Hello there, I'm looking for this somehow related video which stars Mana (not really sure). Its a long pv where most of the part was taken in a church and looks so old school. Malice Mizer doesn't sound Japanese to me; they sound European or at least quasi-European most of the time. Perhaps it's the language barrier. The better you understand the lyrics I guess. Anyway, people who can't hear what I hear ought to watch this film. It captures the essence of Malice Mizer far better than 薔薇の婚礼 (Wedding of the Rose).
