Could be tough for the Kings. Magic have the cap space, and the need for his skills. It's even worth it for Orlando to overpay a bit for him too.

I say he signs. Sactown has an amazing culture and he’s had his 2 best seasons in Sac. Why leave?

Monk deserves whatever he can get on the market.

If monk take a offer from Orlando it will be financial sense because Florida has no state tax he would keep most of deal versus staying in California

Nah I predict he stays in Sac. FUCK THEM TAXES. He with his BFF Fox. He has had his best 2 seasons both with Sactown. Why would he leave and have to move out all his luggage across the globe. He’s a fly god and has a ton of clothes. He stays for sure

@@ralph7781 this was a month ago I change my mind after looking at the rest of possibilities Monk would be a waste of money.

i doubt he will drop the bag, i think he'll take the biggest offer whichever team it is.

If a team offers him a 4 year $100m contract he would be stupid not to take it. That’s a $100m guaranteed and financial security for the rest of his life. Who knows what will happen next year if he takes the 1+1 deal. He could have a horrible season or a major injury. Bobby Portis would have left too if another team offered him $100m.

Jazz will make crazy offer for monk. Kings might want to offer sign and trade so they get something in return. Perhaps swap 2024 29th for 2025 pick and Clarkson

That’s not how it works with early bird rights. There is a limit the kings can offer him regardless if it’s a sign and trade. Other teams can offer him a lot more as long as they have the salary cap space. It’s not that the kings aren’t willing to pay him. There hands are tied under the collective barraging agreement since they don’t have his full bird rights.

@@justmyopinion8395jazz have cap space and can offer more as kings stuck at max 17.3mm first year and 4 yr 78mm total. That’s max for kings but not for monk in free agency. He can get way more from other teams with the cap. What I was suggesting was a sign and trade so the kings aren’t left with nothing. Monk gets his max 4 78mm but kings get a earlier pick and a player like Clarkson on a 14mm. Tricky way for kings to get something out of nothing assuming monk agrees. Players don’t always cooperate.

Watched you the year Malik played with the Lakers. I have watched every game Malik Monk has played. Last night I rewatched Malik's Lakers exit interview, too. A lot lighter than his Kings exit interview. Yeah, Malik's brother Marcus is his agent. If you heard his Kings exit interview, you heard him refer to his really good agent a few times. I am hoping he leaves the Kings. He is 26, prime NBA years and this should be his years to get some catch-up pay. Franchise star and friend DeAaron Fox is going to be making nearly $70 MILLION by the 4th year of his new 4 yr super max. And Malik often played as good as Fox, if not better than Fox.
