Great contrast between "ego-centric" vs. "dog-centric" dog training.

Stonnie, You have amazing content. Clear and concise! I am going to find a professional like you but truly intend to use your content to build a base before he starts training in 2 months(He will be 16 wks) Thanks.

I agree with u.. i think that high head carriage is /looks unnatural to the dog..(leading to anatomical issues later on ???)..

So good!--look forward to your next lessons! Do you have a video on teaching a dog to jump up in a truck or gator? My 7 mo. lab jumped out once and almost got hurt, thus, she will not get in or out by herself now--we have been picking her up and taking her out since. Chicken, steak, cheese thrown in or out doesn't work! Love your perspective on the ego vs dog-centric!!!! I want both--at different times!

How old should a pup be before having them jump as high as this dog? This is a good video for the larger Aussie Shepherds, they are very much like the Malinois, I think now I can get her better into the heel position I need. She 1/2 the time presents a head wrap and I was confused how to deal with it without discouraging her too much and this video should help a lot. Thanks.

When did this head wrap style of heeling become a “thing”. When I did obedience trials in the 80s, the dogs heeled looking forward, the way they normally walk. Until your video, I thought the head-turned heeling dogs weren’t trained right and were constantly begging for a treat, and the treat-training owner couldn’t fix it. It’s intentional?! Like what creature wants to walk forward and not look where it’s going?

I was just watching lesson 1 on the Belgian Malinois training. My Malinois will be 11 months old on Nov 1st... can I still implement the beginning lessons of your training or would it be to late? Thank you.

I'm not Stonnie and I'm learning here but I do train horses. You can *always* take a horse back to the basics and redo the foundation of learning. I'm pretty sure it works the same with dogs. Stonnie has a video on rehabbing a Pitbull, and I think you'll find an answer from him. Good Luck. I 'm have a 3 month old Mal and I'm *trying* to learn a lot here. Good luck!!
