Many years ago prior to the internet era on some festival in Europe we were partying so hard that I felt in sweet delirium somwhere on the road to camping area returning from the late gigs. Woke up next morning in a warm tent on safe thinking it was mine, when I got up some cheerful crew speaking in a foreign language I couldnt understand greeted me and welcomed to their home with breakfest, coffe and laughter. And the biggest gallon of red wine I have ever seen, thing was like 50 liter or something. Turned out they were Slovakian crew who picked me up from the god knows where to put my metal bones safely to rest from the hard day of headbanging. We lost our touches over the years but I will never forgot that simple act of humanity for a fellow metal creature. I salute you listening to this fine peace of music wherever you are, cheers!
Taktéž atmosféru brzkého jara a prvních bivaků a ohňů v pískovcových oblastech kolem Tisé, když tam jezdíme lézt. Pro mě dokonale zhudebněná pohanská atmosféra těchto míst s neuvěřitelnou sílou země a ducha, genia loci.
Mirislav Gdodin Yes, and also great spare ribs with sauerkraut and chillies; when my father and I were in Slovakia we visited restaurant Dobre Casy in Kosice and there you get 1 kilogram of Spare ribs pro portion and in the background there sounds heavy metal and other rock from the speakers. Epic!
I hear Judas, Maiden, Motörhead, Helloween, early Queensryche, Bathory, '90s black, Kiss...but also Gong, Goblin, Oldfield..? Am I going insane?!? Wonderful compositions indeed. Respect from Italy \m/
This album is incredible... As others have said in the comments, this is incredible to hear all these classic influences - I'm hearing Motorhead, Judas Priest, King Diamond, and so many more legendary sounding riffs paying homage to the greats, while still creating their own unique sound. Bravo
I am going to buy this album! By the way - the passage that kicks in at 16:40 minutes is a very pure celebration of the old prog rock masters from Germany - Eloy. It's from 'The Apocalypse Part 1' from the "Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes" album.
Jsou skvělí !!!!!!!! .....dnes měl být koncert společně s Cult of Fire!!
I don't listen to black metal as much as I do death metal or doom metal but it's fucking incredible how well black metal combines with other subgenres. Black/heavy, black/speed, black/thrash, black/death, black/doom, black/folk, it's all fucking incredible.
The first few seconds of this album sounds like a playful frolic in a burning field... who could have imagined the direction it would take after that? Not I.
my guess is that it's from the booklet or inner sleeve in any case the cover carving is obviously from franta storm (master's hammer), and so seems to be the thumbnail
Not at all man, there's probably at least one or two sections in each song that sound straight up like Lars and Kirk jamming, so why not add some Cliff in there.
