Shravanam
Shravanam is a project that aims to revive and encourage the active and mindful listening of concerts and recordings. As students and performers, we have all grown up listening to the recordings of the illustrious past masters. Our aim is to create a healthy environment that provides space for positive and constructive musical conversation and discussion. Shravanam aims to bring together different musical impulses and ideologies, to help in better understanding and assimilating of the finer nuances of this art form, thereby facilitate the coming together of the larger music community. We hope such a process will be a listening and learning experience, sculpting and shaping our musical perceptions in a holistic manner.
