@@Malphaxx to be honest I'm sure Nintendo won't never answer that. Not at least without letting a few flaws over the plot. But many agree mostly because Link lives on a ranch. Besides the hero of Time options were a Kokiri girl who race never appeared again without turning into Koroks. And it's never mentioned that Ruto married a hylian in the Child Timeline, nor in Zelda's case.
I'm not gonna lie I had a huge crush on Malon as a kid that I kinda projected onto Link. I would pretend that she was Link's girlfriend and I would go back to visit her at the ranch after every dungeon.
@@katedp7825 it is official. How you think Twilight Princess link came into existence. Not only that but the Hero's Shade is Link from OoT. HS is also task with trying the next decedent of Link.
Hopefully it's restored in botw 2 with maybe malon's descendant. But if malon married the hero of time then that means that the malon that would supposedly appear in botw 2 would be somewhat related to link in botw.
Sorry to break it to ya but it seems botw 2 will take place not long after botw 1. Sad yeah i know they should've made it so it took place like 5 years after botw 1 so we could have more diversity with the map but nah Nintendo ain't gonna do that for us. They just wanna focus on the story and gameplay.
If Link did marry Malon in the Child Timeline, that explains why Link from Twilight Princess works on a Ranch, and he already had Epona to start with. Wow I was not expecting this many likes and replies. Quite impressive.
She was always a sweet girl, no wonder Link fell for her, also he didn't had that many options on where to go, since he's not a kokiri, and none of the stuff on the future happened after ganon was sealed
Man, this is the kind of game that has a magic which rarely happens and I'm privileged to have been touched by it in the window of time that it was released in. A work of art and a masterpiece in storytelling and gameplay.
Honestly as much as I like BOTW and TOTK, I just don’t think they have the same kind of personal, special storytelling that the N64 Zelda games had. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking, but who knows.
I remember back when I first played this game as a kid, when I first discovered Malon singing out alone at night when her ranch was under the control of Ingo... I was so sad and sorry for her... and then when I saw that she still sang after the ranch was given back to Talon, I was surprised but happy for her.
It's actually canon according to the Hyrule Historia that Malon and OoT Link got together and TP Link is their child and OoT Link eventually passed on and became the Hero's Shade.
Never really understood why this moment in the game connected me so fully and powerfully to something I can’t explain, it feels like I remembered something I had mourned forgetting.
Now imagine if this game was released in CD format, it would have a lot more content, better yet imagine if the n64 was a CD based console, all the games that n64 already has would have a lot more content and the 1st and 3rd party support that nintendo lost in the n64 era would still be on the nintendo side, and i think the Playstation 1 would definitely not have the same success, i think the n64 would have won on that generation, maybe the playstation that we know today would not be same and nintendo would have a different vision on video games that it has today and nintendo would still be the most successfull video game company, at least is what i think.
@@xenaioaks5363 In Links case she seemed to be the only one who had feelings for Link for who he is and not because he was the hero (like the rest of the girls)
I'm not excatly sure about the lore but it feels like Malon, at first made that song for Epona (Hence Epona's song) but after OOT Link Died in battle, Malon now sings it as Epona and Link's song. When she died of old age, her spirit continues singing it into the Twilight era still calling out to him (OOT Link) which we can still hear it. OOT Link had it the worst then any of his decendants and predecessors. His actions also cause a wide spread of paradoxes (though not for malicious means)
I always loved the way Malons voice sounded as a kid. I'd sometimes drift off to sleep imagining myself sitting on a fence in lon lon ranch, just listening to her sing. That tune was special to me. But i always imagined it in a little more... definition, I guess would be the right word? With today's hardware, a well polished game can sound like a masterpiece, but something about the more primitive in-game sfx left just enough to the imagination for you to come up with your own interpretation of what malon would sound like. Did anyone else get this same feeling as a child?
This game is so small and infinite at the same time . Every small detail of it is so filled with personality and even today just listening to this fills me with emotions
Honestly kinda sad hearing this when you first become an adult in the game, Malon is sad that Ingo took over the ranch, her dad was kicked out and there's nothing she can do. Her only peace is to sing alone at night
Malon has such a soothing and beautiful voice. I remember first playing this game as a kid, I would visit the ranch every so often to hear her sing to lift my spirits.
This song was always really special to me. Listening to the music made the scary world of Hyrule seem not so bad. As an adult, it transports me back to when my friend Stanlee was alive, when I'd sit on his couch with him playing, and watching his big brother Ricky play all those years ago. I was probably only 6-7 when the game came out. What a magical time.
Not gonna lie, I did this when my mom was in the hospital at one point. I was upset and we didn’t know when she would come home. This song often brought me comfort. So without realizing how creepy it was for an 8 to stand in her backyard, singing this song during a full moon I sang it as I admired the night. Surprisingly, I felt so much better after singing that song. Occasionally I hum it when my mind troubles me a bit too much or whenever it pops up in there. This song will always be one of my favorites.
Wie oft ich einfach Nachts auf den Hof bin um ihr zuzuhören. Bissl dabei geritten. War schon toll. Für mich immer noch das beste Zelda und danach kommt Wind Waker.
I remember as a kid playing OOT and MM and wanting desperately to open what I called as a kid a “Milk Business” now at 31 I understand why it got laughs😂
@@Queenskii004 i'm still looking for it, but if it were a sample library we would hear it in other media, and for a sound that is as well know as it i would assume that somebody would have found it already
They reuse the Malon singing vocal in a number of Zelda songs. They reused it as Lulu’s singing voice in Majora’s Mask (you may remember hearing some of it in the end credits on the game), Ikana Valley, Hyrule Field at night in TP, and in Minish Village in The Minish Cap. Marlon’s voice is an instrument of its own. I actually wonder where the sample came from…
@@officialmusictracks Apparently a voice actor named Jun Misuzuwa voiced a lot of the female characters in Zelda, including Malon’s… maybe this is a recording of her voice?
i know nothing abt sound effects and voice acting stuff but to me it honestly sounds like they mixed together someone actually singing with a synthetic sound, which maybe is y it has a very unique comforting and real feel
In twilight princess singing malon too she is a ghost and she waiting link and she is dead....and link is dead but malons ghost singing start an hyrule castel in the night
Lon lon ranch has always been a sanctuary to me. At night i was too 🐱 to fight the stal children and this was before knowing the sun song even existed.
Suena bastante relajante, no os voy a mentir (además de que estoy escuchando ésto a las 3 y 20 de la mañana), aunque no me haría mucha gracia oír éste canto fuera de mi casa a está hora. Grande Nintendo, faltan más como tu.
Man it’s kind of bitter sweet finding out that Link married Malon. Like all that time spent fighting for the kingdom with Zelda, and he was never able to get that time back with her
Please can you upload the version of lon lon ranch without song by malon (you have to talk to him and it sounds instrumental) the other version with bug and sfx
Gators pain, After he died fighting the calamity he was never found but his friends remember his pain but after Icarumas failed to stop the hero’s the soul of gator split and the GatorBound into 8 one still per universe
