You mean the washer. On a stock variator the washer can be removed. Its a restrictor. The washer supplied for this you use it for minarelli engines. Like the aerox and aprilia sr carb models
the malossi variator is built so that the weights go farther outwards than the original and the running surface for the belt is also larger so that a greater speed can be achieved
Tuning my new build!2004 Derbi Atlantis Bullet et2 - 70cc S6mk2 sport, S6 PWK 21 carb, S6 intake system, Yasuni R, Malossi 2000 variator, green Polini springs , original crank, belt and contra spring. 5 gram roller weights... what are the optimal weight that you would recommend? Currently rips awesome, got it in a super windy day to 64 miles an hour… And decide not to push any farther because it was risky.
Know it's a late answer but please upgrade your crank if you're gonna go 70cc. And put a malossi kevlar belt on it, change the exhaust to yasuni carrera 16 and for rollers, use 4.5 gram
You would Also need some tighter clutch springs so the clutch Will engage at a Higher rpm, or else it Will barely be able to get going from a stop because of the low rpms at launch
Dove posso comprare tutti gli attrezzi per smontare la trasmissione? Che marca dovrei comprare per avere un buon prodotto duraturo e affidabile? Grazie.
Anyone knows why the metal 5mm washer needed? I bought a used multivar with the rés spring but I didn't have the metal washer, can I assembly without it?
@@lockerzFITTOME thanks for the answer, but another issue, that I cant assembly my minarelli do I need to change the spacer that sors beneath the electric starter clutch to a thinner one?
@@ferencbalogh9897 What scooter do you have? Do you mean the spacer that is visible at 3:12? It says you need a 5mm spacer only for Malaguti f12 scooters. Other minarelli engines take 2mm spacer. If you don't have it you can probably buy a spacer in a hardware shop. If it's more than 2mm you can grind it down to 2mm with some simple tools.
@@lockerzFITTOME I have an f15 thats a similar engine, like F12 but I want to use the electric starter, the problem is if I assembly like the factory variator I cant put on the Kick starter becouse I dont have any space, but if I remove the starter clutch I can easyli assemble everithing
@@ferencbalogh9897 So you don't have any spacers between variator and starter clutch and you still don't have enough space for kick starter? So I guess you don't even have enough space to bolt the variator and starter clutch on the crankshaft at the same time. It seems to me that you don't have the right variator for your engine. Do you know what engine do you have? Is it minarelli horizontal? I have Yamaha Aerox with this engine and I can measure how much crankshaft sticks away from the starter clutch and how thick is my variator.
Il problema è trovare e comprare il kit tool.... Introvabile!!!! Tutti i meccanici montano con la pistola ad aria compressa e a lungo andare si rovina tutto... Malossi?
