Winter is typically the low season or even off season in Malta and Gozo. While the weather can be unpredictable, that doesn't mean diving is off the cards. In fact, it's a great time to maintain equipment and get it ready for the season.
And just like equipment needs to be maintained, so do skills on different configurations. After spending months working on skills on the Kiss Sidewinder rebreather (check kisssidewinder.pro for course info), I took the AP Diving Evolution in the water to check weighting, balance and to work on bailout positioning.
It might be a rebreather I've dived for years, but I only brought it to the Mediterranean a few months ago and really wanted to work on making skills demonstrations similar between the different units and more. I'd also replaced a few parts and needed to check how well those replacements worked. More fine-tuning to come. Still found time to admire the outstanding topography, too.
