What to do in a weekend escape break in Malta.
Mainly wander around Valetta and enjoy delicious food and coffee. The local specialty is Coney ( Rabbit) and of course plenty of fish and pasta. Valetta itself has few stoney beaches but nothing special. For proper swim take a boat to the famous blue lagoon to the nearby island of Comino.Boats normally depart from the town of Bugibba so you ll need to catch the early morning bus to be there at 9:00. The boat trip is a unique experience of relaxation as the ship cruises the blue waters of the mediterranean sea. The blue lagoon gets very busy, so I would recommend visiting it not during the high season. Another stop of our trip was the crystal lagoon which was also nice but not as impressive as the blue lagoon. We returned back to Buggiba where I had some nice food and finally back to Valetta to return to Uk.
