I always doff my cap to the Malverns on my journeys south to Devon and Cornwall etc. They do look a splendid ridge, rising up out of the lowlands. I knew they were Pre Cambrian but had not considered that that would put them as England's oldest rocks.....good fact that 😎. I shall trot that out sometime to impress my family and friends....😀👍. Nice to see the harebells too, deffo one of my favourite wild-flowers. The literary and composer-y references I liked too. There is something about walking in the footsteps of poets, authors, composers, etc. It adds another dimension to it all. Look after yourselves folks and enjoy the weekend. Cheers, Chris
Good afternoon and happy Tuesday Chris, thanks so much for your lovely comment, much like you we have often ventured past the Malverns, with Kat's parents always recommending for a day trip, it did not disappoint. Came over from RVA Hiker Girl who gave you a shout out. I enjoy your style. I also enjoy British history (I'm a professed Time Team addict) plus I lived in England for 4 years, probably before you were born judging by your apparent youth. Your video reminded me of a little British geography. Apparently in Scotland there's a rocky area on the west coast made up of North American rocks from when the two continents bumped.
Love that bit of geology, wow! It's amazing isn't it thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Great to meet you Garry and thanks for coming over, Kat is the brains 🧠 of the channel, I provid mild accidental comics relief from time to time 🤗🤭 Time Team and Tony Robertson is great, nothing wrong with that! Do you have a channel too? Thanks for the support and feedback, have a fab Friday and a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 🧭🗺
Very much so Lou! So many ridge lines do and it's easy to see where and how these great writers gained inspiration 🐉 hope you are good and well, thanks so much for your comment, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭

Your channel's unique and varied adventure videos are instructive and exciting. 💫💯 Undoubtedly, you are a motivated, good-natured and talented couple. Thanks for your comment and support, really appreciated, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Morning both, apologies for not being on the ball with your last couple of videos, life is pretty hectic at the moment, but I start a new job in a fortnight so that should free some time up 😁 that's an action packed walk , crammed with views 😁 British camp looks impressive from a distance, and looking over to Herefordshire and worcestershire 😍😍😍 but I think perseverance hill looked to be my favourite 😁 looks like the climb back up to summer hill was a toughy 🥵 the compass on the beacon is very cool 👍 great video as always, catch you on the next one, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Good morning Paul and very exciting news for your new job, congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 No need yo apologise, creating videos and keeping ontop of our watchlists it a job in its self! Really appreciate your comment and support, means alot you magicy beardy wonder of a man you! @@TeaInValhalla well as you mentioned it… 🤪 Hiked up Corn Du and pitched the tent on Pen y fan last night. Weather turned very quickly and was in the wind & clag all eve. forecast changed and the stronger winds came in the night, earlier than forecast ( should have been this eve). Right on the edge of my comfort zone TBH. Packed all away with my head torch and was on my way back down at 6am this morning in the dark. Back home now and all is well in the Womble world. Phew ! See what footage i’ve got now.
@@thewiltshirewomble pleased you are safe and well, that sounds like one heck of an adventure! Will be on the lookout for a future video maybe! Well done and a good experience if not the one you had hoped for 🏕⛰🏴❤
Hello to you in Taiwan 🇹🇼 😃 great to meet you and thanks for you lovely comment, really appreciated ☕👍 stay safe and be well, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 😊
Yes Guys! One of our favourite areas, used to go there all the time when we went to uni at Worcester. We've never done end to end yet, but we will one day! Nearby the British Camp is a small cave known as the giants cave, where a giant was supposed to live!
Heeey Tom, we thought you might know a hidey hole or two and it turns out you know a giant one! Brilliant tit-bit, we will have to look next time we visit, maybe you guys could tour guide 😀 Hope you guys have a great weekend, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Good afternoon Paul, thanks so much, you'll be pleased to know we managed a North Wales day trip and mountain recently too, keep your peepers peeled for that one! Thanks for the short love too, always like to free the knees when i can! Have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 😀

Hello hi Dave, thanks so much, easy to see why this area wins so many awards for being well kept and its stunning veiws. Hope you are well, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ⛰🥰👍
10 hills in 10 miles, I feel my knees aching 😂 but looks absolutely amazing and I can see why it is said to have some of the best views around. Wonderful vlog there as always and learning a lot about the background of these hills, and how some inspired the image of Gondor! (Big lotr fan here)
Pleased to learn you are a fellow LOTR fan too, nothing beats a sleep evening watching the bioxset! 🤓❤👍 Really glad you enjoyed the video, thanks so much for your comment and support, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ 🗺🥇⛰🏆
Hello Paul and thanks so much for your lovely comment, really appreciated, so much history and amazing sights along this walk, really loved it. Have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
@@TeaInValhalla Hi guys. I’ve just read the description of your channel and it highlights something I’m more than personally aware of. Mental health, particularly in men has been something I’ve been trying to address, especially through lockdown. So to see another channel addressing and acknowledging these issues is fantastic. We’re a person, not a label. The attached film might explain a little more about what I’m trying to do. Great work guys and keep in touch. Paul ❤️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fTQkO7D6Er4.html
wow that is so cool that C.S Lewis was a local he had a few books to the series and the movie was awesome!! most impressive day you had here and some great history with it like 41
Thanks so much, it was such a beautiful place, easy to see where the inspiration came from. Really appreciate your comment and support, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Hope you have since managed several scones and teas, pleased you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for you comment and support, diloch, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺🧭⛰
Great video Ceri & Kat cant believe you were at the Malverns, they're only about half hour from me!! I know them very well indeed, if id have know id have flown across n said hi 😁 Dunno if you were following me earlier this year when I went there for a sunrise in the snow? Looked beautiful if there with a light dusting of the white stuff. Love the Toposcopes like the one on The Beacon, shows all the points of interest on a clear day. Quite a few of those around and on Clent Hills / Lickey Hills etc too. Great to see you out enjoying a bit of the Malverns 😃👍🏻❤✌🏼 ATB... Chris
Good morning Chris, no we did not realise you were only a hobbits step away! We would have definitely given you a buzz, maybe soon we can arrange a hill walk together ❤ Yes i very much remember you video earlier in the year, you very kindly pinned my comment 😀 Yes the memorial top was very lovley, one of the nicest we have come across. Hope you are good and well, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 😊
10 hills in one day. That’s some impressive going Ceri and Kat. Summer hill seemed a very appropriate name as the weather looked glorious. Tea and scones. Quintessentially British 🙂. Some fab views on this one. Looked a lot higher than the 425 metres. Quite spectacular really. Great watch as always 🙂💚👍
Happy Sunday and good afternoon Anthony, yes the ridge felt alot higer than it was total, accent for the day was 962m, so a far ole slog. Would wager this spine to be brutal in less fair conditions, little to no cover or escape from the elements on soem parts of the ridge. Hope you are well, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ⛰🤓👍❤🗺🧭
Awesome hill top adventure. Great views and history along the way too. Well done on your video. I heard a lot of great things about your channel most recently from RVA hiker girl. You two are lots of fun. Have a great day.
Hello hi and happy Monday to you, thank you so much for you comment and support, RVA is great and we are so pleased to meet you and glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great week, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺🧭👍
Nice to meet you and thanks for the support and feedback, we really appreciate it 😀 the views are stunning here, glad to share them with you, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Free is a great price! End Hill is a great name for the last hill on the range! What a lovely set of hill well looked after by the local people. That sign was very spiffy. It always makes me sad when I see a signboard forgotten about and unreadable out in the countryside. All the best guys and thanks for another wonderful video☕☕🌞🌞🍰🍰
Afternoon Snowy and thanks for joining us on this fine dander over the Malverns, the trust does a brilliant job looking after the area, really nice notice boards along the way and apparently a secret gold mine....sadly we couldn't find it lol! Thanks for your support, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Wow the only Hill you missed was Benny Hill! Thats a lot of hills in one day and what a lovely place it is for a walk! Absolutely stunning! Cheers for sharing guys and sorry I'm late on the ball on this one. Oh yeah and please don't knock Ceri over he's a national treasure haha! All the best to you both.. Day
National treasure and Benny Hill, you make us chuckle Day! Kat can huff and she can puff, ultimately there's just to many scones in me to knock me over lol! Hope you are good and well, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
10 hills in 10 miles and with a view of historic places and a beautiful landscape - can it be better than that for a day trip? I do not think so; and as you have a lot of presence and charm onscreen it makes watching fun and enjoyable (and helps me to forget the fog and snow outside in my place today:) The little detail about Elgar I did not know; so I will have to listen that music and hear how he translated the landscape into music! Anyway; stay safe on your hikes and look abroad for new places to explore:)
What a truly lovely comment, thank you very much. Ideal for a day trip, what we would all give for some summer sun and warmth right now hey. Hope your snow isn't affecting you too much, any consolation we have pouring rain and wind here in Wiltshire atm. A truly beautiful day trip, so many facts and history surrounding the area too, fab! Haha a great week, thanks for the support and feedback, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 😀
Fair dos on you two, that was some climbing!! I love the Malvern's but have only ever visited it twice for geology trips, despite living close for many years (shameful I know). £4.60!!!! Ouch, for a car park that's too much for me... Id have ended up parking miles away and adding miles on just to save the pennies. It would appear that Tolkien had inspiration from pretty much everywhere then lol. Glad to see Ceri kept his lunch for lunch time and not breakfast like when he walked with us... haha. Why does Kat never get out of breath! #SOANNOYING GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS GUYS!!
Ah thanks Gez, Gav, really appreciate your feedback and support as always ❤ 😊 Yea I'd rather walk and extra handful of miles than pay for parking, I like not having to rush to beat the clock too. Well worth a day hike, sadly not a camp friendly area, the trust police the hills very throughly. Catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
