Mama sure got some Karmic blowback here for the way she raised Eunice to be permanently wounded and thus tied to her forever. Serves you right, Thelma. Love how much Conrad can convey without saying much as he finds himself in the eye of a storm. :D

This scene was done on Mamas Family not exactly but an ex boyfriend from her high school days before meeting Carl came back to town played by a different actor. Same song they sung took her to a cabin. Loved both shows.

This very thing is really explored in the "Eunice" special from 1982. It has a much darker tone than the sketches (which are pretty dark to begin with).

@@trinacogitating4532 No. It covers several decades, beginning in the 1950s with Ed & Eunice in high school, and progresses through thirty years. It's really neat, because we get to see younger versions of everyone. Mama has dark hair at the beginning! Eunice's story arc addresses her fascination with fame and yearning to be a part of Hollywood, and how she allows herself to be held back by her circumstances. It's actually the darkest, saddest material "The Family" ever produced. But it's very, very good. I highly recommend it.
