Mama & Unknown Swainson's Hawk | grafxbylisa 

I captured some burst shots of what seemed to be an aggressive Swainson's hawk (definitely not Papa hawk nor one of the babies) coming at our Mama hawk. If you have seen this behaviour in these birds, please let me know in the comments what you think may be happening here. As a reminder, the breeding season is over and migration will start any time now, so in my very unprofessional opinion, it's not a mating ritual?
