Mamady Keita and Bolokada Conde give us a brilliant solo improv demonstration with the traditional rhythm, Fakoly Djembe, at the finale of the Toronto Grand Masters Tour. They were joined by Amara Kante and Mohamed Diaby.
Centuries before technology and the internet this African tribe was telling stories by using and playing drums with the hands, this give the brith of pop music
It's interesting to see how close Bolokada and Mamady are so close like Siamese twin brothers. I'd love to see more videos of thee other two djembefola masters in more videos other than this video. One of many favorites by Mamady and Bolokada individually and together. May god and thee ancestors be with and protect Mamady's and Bolokada's whole family and all of his relatives and in-laws. They paved the way for drummers like myself and others here in the United States to vastly improve our drumming and knowledge. Thank you God for these elders and the knowledge they left us with and continue to leave us with. All my drummers please keep Mamady Keita family in prayer and positive thoughts.
Love this music; it's expressive and enlightening to listen to. Our community just had a group of women who formed their own drum group; couldn't stop moving with the beat!
Amara Kanté and Mohamed Diaby are also both master drummers. I’ve been lucky to study with both of them. It’s unreal how skilled all four of these guys are.
wowow Bolokadi tienes muchas significado como mi mano está buena de tocar tambor o de bala así es viva África viva Mali cultura de africanos me gusta muchísimo lo vez
Strangely I am reminded of the Keralite ( from southern Indian state of Kerala) ' chenda'.Wonder if these people could go in for a jugalbandi with the keralite drummers.
