MAMAMOO - "Dingga" Halloween Perf. + "Midnight Summer Dream" + "You're The Best" DP | REACTION 

yeah, "midnight summer dream" is based on a story from when byul was younger... she's told the story in a few places, both before and after the song was released (but mostly after, of course), where a 'grandpa' ghost apparently came into her room when she was alone one night and it freaked her out they've got a few other ghost stories, mostly involving the 'rbw ghost' you'll see oneus, onewe and i think purple kiss mention at various points... the ghost is named minji, if i recall. and... is sometimes said to look like hwasa, if it's the same one from mamamoo's dorm room stories (where byul and solar at different times talked about seeing hwasa around the place but later realizing she was visiting her family at the time) they actually did a live performance of this song at one of their concerts, with all the girls dressing in spooky costumes and (per usual) solar *really* getting into it

living for these half hour mamamoo reactions. feels like binge watching with a friend.

Solar is like "I'm here to have fun" all the time. What a precious soul se have. She's a moving party.

Hwasa had a crazy 2020 and end of year schedule - she was still constant filming for Refund Sisters (the whole other girl group at this time) whilst also preparing for Maria end of year stages on top of Mamamoo's already hectic Dingga/Aya era. That explains her tiredness but she still slayed everything

The thing with Mamamoo’s earlier choreography, one would think they’re easier to perform than the other groups but their songs are HARD to sing properly live. Therefore, they have to balance executing their dance moves and singing live as well. One more thing was they really interact with their audiences by their adlibs and stuffs. Unlike the other groups who only have to dance (let’s be honest, a lot of groups are relying on lip syncing and backtracks) and they don’t particularly interact with audience. Oh and MAMAMOO wore heels/stilettos almost all the time in their earlier career in their performances- they still do wear heels but mostly it’s just Hwasa and Solar now but still ‼️

Welcome back!! And with a Mamamoo marathon at that, thank you so much! Watching Mamamoo behind the scenes can really be therapeutic, just seeing them laugh and joke around with each other instantly makes my day brighter. I'm lowkey hoping we get another Halloween video this year with mumumumuch but it's highly unlikely. Solar could make a really good actress, honestly. She actually did great in her first acting gig for a drama, even though she thinks it's a bit cringy because of one scene. Once she sets her mind on something, she's determined to go all out and give her everything to it. It's one of the many things that I love about her. The live stage for Midnight Summer Dream is so much fun to watch, especially the intro. Solar wearing a Jigsaw mask going around the stage riding a mini tricycle will never not be iconic.

They used to do a lot more adlibs in older live stages, bc the choreography became harder they don't have as much freedom to do adlibs now (they still do some tho)

That Aya dingo performance is my favorite ever for the song, the outfits the vibe is just so perfect, it's what made me like the song back then (after a little disappointment 😅) It's a real must watch
