Where are we now is a song for their 7th anniversary since it was not confirmed if they renew their contracts or if they disband.. This song is like a throwback to the times between mamamoo and their fans (moomoo) ...

Wind Flower is an absolute fandom favorite.

I very rarely leave comments, especially on music reaction videos, but I've been following your Mamamoo journey and I have to say I really really enjoyed the way you took the time between each song to really break down how you felt about it on every level. You had some very nice, insightful comments (on top of the very expected and very understandable fangirling at their awesomeness and looks lol), and I just wanted to shout that out! Were Are We Know feels like a goodbye

"Where Are We Now" is about their journey together as Mamamoo. It came out in 2021... 7yrs after their debut. The ending of their contract, reflecting on their past and the uncertainty of the future. And in 2023 we are at that point again. -Wheein's extended her contract with RBW for Group activites until the END of 2023. NO "Official" word on if Wheein will extend her deal for Mamamoo again. -While doing her Solo work exclusively with The L1ve label. -Hwasa has just signed with PNation(don't know why, even her Friend Jessi has left it). -There has been NO "Official" word what type of deal, if any, Hwasa has made with RBW. To continue with Mamamoo.

About Where are we now, this song arrives shortly before the renewal of their contracts, there was a magnificent documentary where the girls ask themselves lots of questions about their future (on Netflix Asia). the magnificent intelligence of the group and the agencies is that even if Hwasa and Wheein left RBW, the group continues to exist and they continue to support each other.

your emotional cause mamamoo were having the hardest time during the WAW era..Wheein hasn't signed yet contracts and solar said they were all burnout at that 7 year + pace of work no breaks and also personal life stresses. Watch the Mamamoo Documnetary they share more of their mindset.

I don't recall how many videos of yours I might have commented on suggesting Egotistic but IN MY DEFENSE i was just liking, subscribing, commenting for SUPPORT!!! I assumed my comment would get lost among the others. Granted, I was being dramatic in the last one when i was "on my knees begging" LOL ANYWAY - I was very excited to see this marathon video. It was a great lineup because not only did you cover 3 of the 4 tracks from their 4 seasons 4 colors project, you also managed to watch the two ice cream scene videos back to back (seeing that after the whole WAW experience made my cry even harder), and 2 of the Hwasa bathtub videos in one marathon!

all great songs but every mamamoo song is great. Egotistic is my favorite on this, that latin sound and Solar is my bias so yeah. Starry Night is beautiful and a newer song Moonbyul and Solar as Mamamoo+ is Starry Sea and is as beautiful if not more so. Where are we now is sort of a fan song. It is them singing about their last 7 years(at the time) and where they are and where they are going, as you said related to their contract renewal. Though as Mamamoo they are still RBW, it is Solo work, collabs and OSTs that Wheein and Hwasa are doing through different companies. Where are we now Live is even better and is up there with I Miss You Live and Paint Me live, which they recently did on the Hwasa Show, look up Mamamoo Live Hits Collection Hwasa Show Episode 8 for that, Has 1llella and a medley of other songs.

I always enjoy your reactions to Mamamoo, the detail comments you add for each performance is usually spot on. We will know just how serious of a MooMoo you are when we see a Mamamoo poster on that wall surrounded amongst all those boy groups. Egotistic is definitely sexy video from them, and by the way the Bicho Malo is say by hwasa and it mean bad boy. Wind flower is moomoo all times fav. WAW is definitely feel sad when listening to cause of the renewal contract and some internal issue they have. Anyway during this year concert they already ensure moomoo that mamamoo will still continue. Wheein going to have a comeback on 12 October with a full album. Moomoo let’s support

It's no big deal but too bad you didn't include Gogobebe in this quartet since the first three songs are the first three title tracks in the 4 Season 4 Color project and you did them in correct chronological and series order (Spring, Summer and Fall). It's best to watch MMM MVs on their yt channel. There are always two official MVs, one on their channel and another on a music distribution channel such as 1theK, who they started using in 2018. The subs are always better on MMM's channel and there are no subtitles for MVs prior to 2018 on most if not all the MVs uploaded by Stone Music Entertainment. The Starry Night MV on MMM"s channel includes a note informing you that the song snippet after Starry Night is Hwasa's solo song Be Calm. With that out of the way, great comments about Starry Night. Dreamy fantasy is an excellent description. Imo their reality is the early nighttime scenes of them walking in a city and the rest of the MV is a visual representation of their lingering feelings for the departed lover, hence the unreal images of purple flowers, Hwasa's scene where she's in color and the landscape is desaturated b&w, Wheein coming across what looks like a pink carnation in a dry forest where carnations never grew, etc. I think the initial scenes of silently flying over a spectacular beach and driving down a country road symbolize the beginning of the imaginary journey that leads them into the emotions expressed in the song. They do something similar at the beginning of the Egotistic MV to represent the genesis of the song. Starry Night is the Spring/Yellow song in the 4S4C series and it explores Attraction to kick off the four part cycle of love, in this case lingering attraction. The international sound you mentioned is the influence of latin pop. Mamamoo uses a lot of real instruments in their songs and they always have a live band for their Korean concerts. I think the dance move you liked is part of the sign language they incorporated in the choreo for the chorus meaning "The stars are shining." You got the scenario of Egotistic too. That was Hwasa saying bicho malo. As you can probably guess Egotistic is the Summer/Red song and Red = Passion in the 4S4C relationship cycle. Each member expresses her own take on Red & Passion via their wardrobe, props and actions and I think they also represent four stages of leaving an egotistic jerk: Anger (Moonbyul tosses chair), Defiance (Hwasa stares down the jaguar), Revenge (Wheein burns his guitar in effigy), and Liberation (Solar flies on the pole). In the beginning we see a tear in Moonbyul's eye which turns into the Red Moon logo as the intro is played on a classical nylon stringed guitar and later the logo is turned into a necklace. Imo this represents the creation of the song as their passionate emotions are transformed into art like a spec of sand is turned into a pearl by an oyster. The tear in her real eye becomes the logo in her mind's eye, an artistic concept, and the concept is transformed into a song just like the logo is turned into a necklace. The music mirrors this process, with the acoustic guitar expressing the passion and duende at the core of flamenco as the song's inspiration and the kpop meets reggaeton of Egotistic as their personal mode of expression. The MV takes a visual tour of places in the Spanish diaspora that produced the musical influences that went into the song including Spain, Latin America, the Caribbean and the US. Moonbyul was the featured member on the Red Moon album, which includes her solo song Selfish featuring her close friend Seulgi of Red Velvet. You heard part of Wind Flower in the Killing Voice medley. It's the Fall/Blue song representing Heartbreak in the 4S4C relationship cycle. Wind Flower is favorite among moomoos and Mamamoo themselves but it wasn't a big hit and was the first song since 2016 that didn't earn them a win on the music shows. The MV was shot in Hong Kong and includes tributes to HK New Wave filmmaker Wong Kar Wai. Hwasa is a big fan of Leslie Cheung, who starred in several of Wong Kar Wai's films. The scenes at the end where they get together and party and eat ice cream are a typical format for Mamamoo MVs, especially the 4S4C MVs. In each of the 4S4C MVs they express their personal interpretation of the song's emotional theme and seasonal color in solo scenes but at the end they're all together as a unit supporting and often comforting each other as they go through the ups and downs of love and life. Mamamoo believes they were fated to meet and become best friends even if they weren't singers or in a group together and have several songs on this topic. Your instincts are very good. WAWN is about their 7 year journey together. This is getting long so I won't give you my interpretation of their solo scenes but I think overhead shot towards the end when they're standing in a formation that looks like an upside down and backwards 7 or an unfinished 4 is meant to symbolize that 7 years have passed and the 4 of them aren't done yet. That scene is followed by the shots in the field with the spotlights around them. I think the spotlights represent moomoos, who surround Mamamoo with love and support in gratitude for their angelic voices that carry our spirits to the heavens like the lights shining into space. I'm sure I'm not the only moomoo who blubbered during the song. If they didn't get you this time they surely will before long. 😉😭😂
