This "I Miss You" performance is from the Queendom Show (which, by the way, they won) and is a slightely different version from the original. They changed some lyrics, especially in Moonbyul's rap, so that the song is adressed to their fandom. Needless to say, you got to watch all their Queendom performances, where you can also see the live reactions of all the other groups that participated! Precious!
Moonbyul is the tallest with 163cm (5'3), Solar the second with 161cm (5'2), Hwasa with 160 (5'2) and Wheein is the smallest with 159cm (5'2). There is only 1 cm between each of them so they made a song about it. The live performences of words don't come easy are very sensual with big differents between the normal version and the one they perform with their parents in the audience. I miss you doesn't hav an MV, it's only a lyric video and many different versions of it live. Like the Queendom version you watched. It has the trainee video in the back and a bit shortend and changed rap from Moonbyul. You can try to watch to it but it's from the Mnet show Queendom so it will likely get blocked. Recipe is pretty much just a recipe for Kimchi fried rice. They were on a show where they had to make kimchi fried rice but solar and Moonbyul forgot how to and tried to remember the lyrics to Recipe so they could cook it. Hometown, Recipe and Girl Crush have MVs and live performances. And Yes they made Kimchi fried rice on stage while performing Recipe.

all of mamamoo are actually on the short side and taller than you is such a fun and crack song HAHAHA (they do a lot of skits around the song on their concerts which is such gem!) what's funnier is that all of them are not even that taller to each other but they get quite sensitive whenever they talk about their height lol. wheein is around 159 cm, hwasa (160 cm), solar (161 cm), and moonbyul is the tallest with the height of 162.8 cm! (yes that 0.8 is very important) the i miss you live performance is from queendom! fun fact for recipe! they actually performed recipe once (on their fanmeeting i think??) while actually cooking and following the steps of the song! you can't really contain mamamoo in a box. their ideas are just out of this world lol sadly to some of their earlier releases, moonbyul didn't get to participate which is really such a shame :((( though she was able to reclaim some of the songs and got credited in their i say mamamoo: the best album!
and you've entered the world of mamamoo's joke songs!!! they have a couple others than taller than you coming up, you'll love them all taller than you live is also hilarious, they have a whole skit that goes with it and everything (moonbyul is the tallest, followed by solar, hwasa, and then wheein is the shortest) in the early days they did a lot of collabs- after 2018 they stopped, group wise- the last one that's on the mamamoo albums is going to be moonbyul's solo song selfish on red moon with seulgi of red velvet i think i could literally listen to wheein for hours on end and never get tired of her voice- honestly i could do it with all 4 of them, but i am absolutely in love with wheein's tone- especially in i miss you yep. i miss you. mind blowing song, and you get it TWICE on this deep dive! buckle up, more crazy vocals are coming there's a lot of whiplash in this one, can't say it lessens all that much, but for future reference they do explore a lot of different genres in their bsides haha- and there's usually at least one ballad
I miss you is what turned me into a fan of them for their vocals Their very varied discography, going from crack songs to Bossa Nova and anything in between made me just love them. Unlike some groups, they don't have A genre, A style.... nope, they'll try everything and while not taking themselves serious they do it with panache and make anything sound gorgeous.
I think Mamamoo mostly stopped doing collabs on their group work during the Four Seasons project but they still do a lot of collabs on their solo songs

Melting is my (and Solar's) favourite Mamamoo album. Aside from Mamamoo: The Best it's the only physical kpop album I own because I don't have much money so I had to cherry pick 🥲 Every song is a 10 ❤ This was my favourite era to be a Moomoo as well. The live performances are all wild and out of this world. The backstage stuff is crazy and hilarious. We were all just bursting with pride for Mamamoo finally getting the recognition they deserved in Korea (the international fandom was still pretty small at that point). Everything they did was bursting with energy. You could really tell that they were riding on that high from their first taste of proper success. Not that I love them any less now, they have grown and matured so much. But I look back on Melting era with a lot of fondness. Also, just as a fun fact, Cat Fight has a reference to AOA's Like a Cat in it. Mamamoo were obsessed with that song, they were always singing it backstage and even released a dance cover of it (with Lovelyz's Candy Jelly Love and A Pink's LUV 😂 definitely worth a watch) Maybe you will spot it when you react to AOA 🤣 There is an MV and LOTS of dangerous festival performances of Girl Crush 😂 (all we have are fancams though). That was the Queendom performance of Miss You. The Album version doesn't have a MV, for Queendom it was reworked as a love song to the Moomoos so it's a little different.
The fact that you can make a Spoyify Playlist consisting of the songs I Miss You that are sung by MAMAMOO is just a flex on their part. 🤣 (If I remember correctly, MMM has at least 3 songs named I Miss You/I miss you, with various different versions/performance, and also instrumentals that's released on Spotify) 😌❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This was the first physical album I got- it was a present from a friend that is also a MooMoo. My friend is a Wheein Bias and I am a Byul Bias. Moonbyul is technically the tallest and Wheein the shortest. Approximately, Byul 5’4”/163cm, Solar 160.3cm/5’3”, Hwasa 160 cm/5’3”, Wheein 159cm/5’3”.. depending on what site you use. The live performances of “words don’t come easy” 🥵 I am 100% certain that songs like Um Oh Ah Yea, 1cm Taller, AZE GAG, Waggy, Sleep in the Car are songs that only Mamamoo can pull off.. I mean 3 of these had official MVs. I miss You.. it’s a 😢 every time.. and the live performance.. WheeSun go off.
1CM is an MV and Live must see. The MV is hilarious live is massive audience participation. In concert they start with a 10 minute animated skit of themselves as Sun, Star, Wind and Flower which becomes a live action skit on stage(according to wheein the others look like boogers) and then they go into the song with lots of chanting of that end part. They are dissing each other's height but they also smack the IDOL standard of a woman needing to be like 5'7 instead of their very short 5'2. Words dont come easy is a Live must see, they usually bring someone from the audience on stage in a chair and the 4 of them sing this being very seductive. Your the best has another hilarious MV and different adlibs live after solar's belt. Friday Night with mamamoo, I wish and yeah a lot of collabs because in KPOP it is usually for younger groups to involved more established artists. Today the collabs are just more of what they do as they are considered the best vocal group many want their involvement but mostly they do collabs as individuals or duos. I Miss you, that was the queendom version, there are others and no MV for that one, of course one of the best songs they have ever done. Funky boy is just a fun song with Recipe being real as in they really made that food in the MV lol, Solar and MoonByul and Hwasa and Wheein and then taste tested to see which pair had a better recipe. Cat fight is one of my favorites because I love that retro jazzy sound and the live performances are very very sexy with this one, basically fighting over a guy and the choreo they do is exactly what you would think they would do. There are videos of girl crush also hilarious and by the end of this Just accept mamamoo is their own genre.

MMM took the spirit of the fan round to heart and partially re-wrote I Miss You (Moonbyul's rap) to turn it into a love song to moomoos. The video clips went from their RBW auditions and trainee days to their shout-outs to moomoos after wins on the tv music shows. They were the only contestant to take this approach to Fan-dora's Box and needless to say there wasn't a dry moo eye in the house. You were ripped off for i miss you... It was the queendom version, not the version on the album. they changed the lyrics for the show (I think it was mainly the rap that was changed). On the other hand.. you saw the queendom version... its worth seeing :) its already on your list.
