While the Purple Hawk guide is very well edited and most commonly requested, it unfortunately is also a bit dated and doesn't give as accurate a view of the members personalities and accomplishments to date. This 2022 guide which was inspired by the Purple Hawk one is a very informative and updated guide that gives a more comprehensive view of the members. Hope you will also react to Part 2! Also, regarding the scene about Moonbyul being forced to debut as a rapper, that was a scene from a variety show, not the real life conversation that took place. However, the message was the same. In order for Moonbyul to debut, she had to debut as a rapper. As mentioned in the guide, Moonbyul had auditioned as a vocalist and didn't know anything about rapping. In order to debut, she had to learn how to rap, which you would never have guessed seeing the rapper that she is today. Not only did she learn to rap, but she's become one of the best rappers in kpop, known for her unique style, and versatility in being able to change up her rap style and flow to fit any genre and style of song, and writing all of her own rap verses. If that's not talent, I don't know what is.
Oh, they’re my top ultimate bias female group. I just freaking love all of them. Their personalities, songs, vocals, and live performances are amazing.

I really like the way this guide balances genuine information with some of their more memeable moments, it really takes a well rounded view on their personalities. Oh and for the section about Moonbyul singing, that’s kind of a reenactment of what happened. She really was told that she had to learn how to rap or leave the group. I think I remember it being mentioned that Solar was the one that taught her. The whole thing shook her confidence for a while and she was still figuring out her style by the time they debuted so she’s actually left out of a couple of tracks (they should’ve just let her sing if they were getting featured rappers in smh) but she really does such have a gorgeous voice. I’m glad she became a rapper, she’s honestly brilliant but I wish it had been put to her as more of a “hey we think you’d be good at this” rather than a “hey, gain a new skill or risk losing your dream.”
Byul once said "Han Hae" is her Rap teacher in Amazing Saturday" too, he honed her skills in rapping, there is a lot of discussion in twitter regarding who taught byul to rap actually.
Solar and Hwasa helped guided and introduced Moonbyul into the world of rapping, but Hanhae was her official rap teacher. So to Moonbyul, all 3 are her teachers. :)
I actually prefer this one, ngl. This has more information overall, but Purple Hawke's had great editing. This is better to watch to for people who are new to Mamamoo since it's more upgraded and speaks of their achievements in a broader way. *Edit:* Also, this is inspired by Purple Hawke's version, just an updated guide. If Moomoo YT edited it the same way as the origonal, people would acuse them of copying.
I really didn’t like purple hawke’s. It kdoesn’t highlight hwasa as an artiste, just talking about the hate she gets. So I prefer this one No hate to purple hawke
@@resonance5211 I'm okay with both, but I prefer PH's. What we don't like differs, though. The only thing about PH's guide that I don't like is the fact that she focuses on Byullie and her harem. Byul is more than that.
I'd love to see you react to Mc Dduk and Mc Ddak. Every one that loves Mamamoo loves Ddukddaki. Their is a introducing Mc Dduk and Mc Ddak guide. They are specialized in freestyle so their aren't any songs or albums but you can see their depute performances in a video called "why mamamoo should stop hosting their own radio show". Also their ceo is amazing... Sadly their company is broke now
Just a few weeks late getting to this, and so far only really want to say one thing: At the moonbyul psrt, you said she was like a mean/teasing older sister and there is actually a big reason for that, despite her being younger than solar. In her family, byul is actually the eldest sibling, so that comes into play a lot in her interactions with the rest of mamamoo (same goes for the other 3. You can see how each one's family dynamics play into their personalities). Byul grew up used to being the eldest and taking care of her younger sisters, so she quietly does a lot of that in the group too, esp early on before she started letting go and acting more like a younger sister, letting solar take charge (she actually helped solar learn to lead and basically parent. And solar relies on her a lot, even as she torments their poor leader) Solar and hwasa both are the younger sibling in their families. Each one has older sisters. So learning to lead and be the eldest in the group wasn't easy on solar. It didn't help thst the group was originally going to be 5 members, with the one who left shortly before debut being the eldest and original leader. (This almost fifth member is still pretty close with the girls, esp solar and hwasa. She and hwasa even share a matching tattoo, similar to wheein/hwasa sharing several) Wheein grew up an only child, so sometimes became a camera hog in behind the scenes because she was used to all attention focused on her. On the flip side, she also gets anxiety so sometimes wants zero attention on her. Her mother remarried a while back and she now has a stepbrother she adores dearly, though only mentions briefly, wanting him to lead a normal life. (Also, because of him, wheein is the only member with a male sibling, even if he's not blood related)
Loooooove mamamoo. Out of all the kpop girl groups people tried to get me into, I could only relate to the mamamoo and plus I fell for their vocals XDDDDD
