Release Description:
Darin Epsilon unveils the next generation of stars in his acclaimed "Perspectives Around The World" series. From hundreds of demos submitted from every corner of the world, our 9th edition features the 5 exceptional artists (in alphabetical order) Amanda Baron, Apropos, MAMI, and Wailey. Together they represent a diverse set of countries across 4 continents including Australia, Egypt, Germany, and the United States.
Having met at university, Australian duo Will Gaythorpe and Adam Norris have been staples of the Melbourne dance scene with spell-binding sets supporting Cassian, Korolova, and Township Rebellion. A fledgling production career has followed which saw success with "Lost in Sound", and their DJ exploits continue to impress as they became the first act to play 180 feet above sea level at the summit of Mount Buller in eastern Victoria. Another Perspectives Digital debutant, "The Descent" is a huge storming track with chunky kick and cone-melting bass. A spoken countdown builds the tension as filtered elements rise in prominence before a free-flowing synth lead explodes. Waxing and waning with dancefloor know-how, a stirring chord progression adds a charismatic melodic element. A breakdown pause provides a further opportunity for the countdown to begin again before a crunchy, stuttered synth creates the perfect backdrop for the shimmering melody to make its play in the second half.
