You could also go to schools in neighbouring villages. So these schools end up being like 2 or 3 grades in one classroom because there's not a lot of kids or teachers in the villages.

yes I thought of heaps during the movie. 1. Donnas mother was implied dead "someone up there has got it in for me, I bet its my mother" 2. Donnas mother was made to be a strict catholic "Donna you sound like your mother... its catholic guilt" ... "when I got pregnant my mother told me not to bother coming home". 3. The obvious one here that the timeline for her intimate session with each guy is wrong. Plus she said Bill rented a motor boat, in the second one he had his own big boat. Plus wasn't Donna living on the Island yet it sounds like the island was deserted and they had to sail over to it. 4. Rosie and Tanya meet Bill when their young yet when Donna tells them she actually isn't sure who the father it as there were two other guys they act completely surprised "you shady lady"... "why didn't you ever tell us?" 5. The whole point of the first movie was for Sophie to realise what she actually wanted and to leave the island to start her life with Skye and live her dreams yet only 4 years later her mum dies and she gives all that up to run the business she never wanted to run and then tells Skye she isn't leaving. I was like what happened to the Sophie who was gonna be an artist and live her own life? 6. Sophie said "and now he's announced he'd engaged and I'm never gonna see him again" but in the second movie he doesn't tell donna she finds out on her own and confronts him about before kicking him out. 7. Was that older lady meant to be Bills great aunt Sophia cause that was her name and yet Bill never mentioned her in the second movie. In the first movie he said "I use to have a great aunt living on the main land named Sophia" and yet this Sophia lived on the Island not on the mainland. And Donna took care of her but why would she need to take care of this woman -so much to the point this lady left her money- when it is shown she has a son. He works with her therefore would be perfectly able to care for her therefore why would she live and be cared for by Donna. It doesn't make sense. 8. If Donna was staying at the Island and it already had residence then how is it that Sam designed the whole place on the back of a napkin? 9. Harry used to be called head banger yet that wasn't mentioned nor was the fact that her bought her that guitar and wrote that song Super Troper with her. 9. Donna was only in her early 40s and yet she suddenly died with no explanation on how, because she looked fine in the first one and yet she died with 4 years of that. It was never mentioned how. Plus why did Sophie need to fix the place up, Donna married Sam and he was going to run the business with her therefore they would have fixed it up together and he'd continue running it after she died yet suddenly Sophies back in charge. 10. Some of the characters didn't fit. Rosie was made out to be a tough independent woman who liked the single life yet then she became a bit winey and wanted to be with Bill and Bill was described as funny and wild yet it seemed his main ambition was getting into bed with Donna; they just made him into a bit of a womanizer. 11. If Rosie and Bill had met why is it she didn't recognise him at the Hens party or when Donna mentioned his name. 12. When Bill tells Donna "I have a boat." She repeats surprised "You have a boat." Yet in the second movie Bill already had his own boot therefore why does it come as such a surprise to Donna? I could go on but there'd just too many. Changes in characters, things that contradict the facts in the first one and so many inconsistencies. I was so excited for the movie but was left disappointed and thinking "did the director even watch the first movie?"

I haven't seen the second movie yet, but the biggest inconsistency may be the looks of the guys. In the first movie, Donna had pictures of them and especially Sam is one hell of a hippie. And yet, in the second movie they look as stunning as guys in movies usually do. Where's the long hair and the flowers and the dark eyeliner?

Also Sam says in the first one to Sophie that he drew up the hotel on a napkin, yet in the second one young Donna spots the hotel and then runs into Sam when looking for help with the horse during the storm. A lot of inconsistencies that bugged me. Aside from the fact that none of the characters looked like how Donna remembers them when she sees them in the goat house!

What do you mean? It was exactly like the timeline in the 2nd movie. The diary said said HARRY showed up out of the blue which suggests they met before (In paris like in the movie). They just didnt show that part but the diary is on point, fell in love with Sam, Bill came with his boat then Harry shows up unexpectedly after following her to the island (which was also shown on the 2nd movie)

K1mch11 Except in the 2nd movie Donna Slept with Harry first and we don’t see him again after that. She goes to catch the fairy to the island after sleeping with Harry, meets Bill on his boat who takes her to the Island, leaves her for 3 weeks. She falls in love with Sam during those weeks they sleep together. Sam leaves, Bill comes back and than Sam comes back, finds out she’s with another man (Bill). She sleeps with Bill last in the movie. The last we see of Harry was at the dock trying to follow Donna to the island but he never made it since he missed the fairy. I just saw the movie last night. Sleeps with Harry first, than Sam and Bill last.
