I've just turned 56 with 5 kids from 36 down to 15 and a 15 year old grandson, so there is almost no way i could do a "reaction" channel. Growing up we had 8 trax piles stacked high and in those red polyester lined black fake leather cases with the handle that held like 24 of them of every kind of music k-tel offered. Then as a teenager i actually used my account with Columbia house past the 12 for a penny or whatever it was. Moving into the 90s and 00s we had probably a dozen of those zippered cd cases with the pages... even know i have a radio station that plays in the back of my head all the time. All it takes is a word combo or part of a tune and off i go singing it...(even the word dig will start me off on 'diggy diggy hole..stupid i know but my adhd brain). All that to say...i know alot of music, from all different genres. Im not a fan of the rap thats nasty and violent, bubble gum country or scream metal...but i have listened to it. So it just wouldn't be possible for most of us above a certain age to have truly reaction channel that has variety. I love seeing the youngins get turned on to our music so thats why i watch reaction channels. But i also get to hear and learn about new groups and artists i never heard of. Thats how i found Home Free, Tom McDonald, Pax, Adam Calhoun, Mammoth (ya i knew about him, he was a musician and that Eddie thought he was a musical genius ) and several more artists. I do like to watch review 'reactions ' but I'm more interested in reading the comment section to see what new ppl hearing them for the first time and giving them suggestions about other pieces of theirs or similar artists or groups they might enjoy if they like that song or group. Well that and remembering the songs and the memories that flood in with hearing them again after sometimes decades. As well as hearing a different take on what the reviewers feel about the work and any remastering or change in the production that may have happened. I also enjoy hearing artists and groups from other countries that we just dont get to hear in the states. Kaiser Chiefs was one like that. Some of my favorite reactions are 20 somethings rap fans listening to 80s music and see their eyes light up. Anyway thanks for reading my ramble.
