Dave Norona talks about the beacon he uses when out in the backcountry sledding and skiing. The Mammut Barryvox is super easy to use, simple to understand and follow. shopmsd.com to purchase cheers dave
Hey Dave. Great video. I do have a question about Firmware updates. I have a Mammut Barryvox Pulse i bought in 2013. I know there are several updates, but I do not know where or how to get updates done. I have emailed Coast Mountain Collective in Squamish and several dealers in Revelstoke but no info as of yet. Thanks
Great video. Thanks. From 7:00 - 7:30 you talk about checking other beacons but don't explain exactly how this is done. Are both people on "send" for this procedure? What output does each beacon produce during this test? Thanks.
It has a beacon check button with reduces the search grid to only 1 meter so 5 people can be standing 1.5 2 meters apart and you can individually check each person, then you put it back to transmit and head out.
signal pass through snow however the snow is only so deep, and even though many people have been rescued alive burried over 6 feet, it is unlikely as the weight of a deep burial means the buried victim is crushed by that weight.
