OK so I watched the vids in the wrong order. I like the way you describe each step of the process. I have a Mk3 Mamod and the process is similar but not quite the same. Watching you go through the oiling points is very useful. A cracking loco and excellent video. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you, I wanted to try and be as informative as possible, little bit hard to film at the same time but glad you enjoyed, the loco really does run well though, once again many thanks 👍
I have done, but this loco doesn't seem to light to well as there is a slight blockage stopping the flow of gas, think it may be a bit of solder, but I have had this fixed but a steam buff (hopefully)
Hello, thanks for the nice video. What amazes me, there is no sight glass for the water level? When should I top up the water? I have a Mamud Brunel with a water indicator. Greetings Harald from Germany
Hi, thanks for commenting. The boiler is designed to run out of gas before water, so long as you fill it up full before you run it, but I do agree, it definitely needs a water sight glass! Many thanks from Keiran in England :)
Or just recently purchased the Mamod sterling with the remote control can anybody tell me how to use it properly because the instructions don’t say anything I just tell you to fit it
