nono, he's dead poor of course. the rich people in this movie (how could it be otherwise) are creeps, while the poor are morally good angels. Typical modern christian tale. Just work your whole life and be a good person and in the "next life" you'll be treated well. But the life itself is PURE SUFFERING and its okay, while the rich all are soooooooo bad.

In the Bible, nearly every time an angel appears, their first words are, “Don’t be afraid”. My guess is that angels aren’t beautiful goddesses with wings as Hollywood would have us believe…but rather, fearsome beings that would scare the bajeepers out of the average person.

Years ago I remember watching a documentary about the book of the dead, I believe it was Egyptian. The theory written in the book is that when your body dies your soul travels to another plane of existence with lots of tunnels. You see a hideous creature following you. Depending on what tunnel you try to escape from determines your next life. It's not until you face and accept the monster that you permitted into heaven.

There are different angels or heavenly host described in the Hebrew bible and in the Nativity. Some, like those that came to warn Lot, must look so human they fooled the residents, as they wanted to have relations with the messenger angels. Visions of the levels of heaven have different angels. Some are beautiful and human looking with wings that cover their eyes and feet. Some on higher levels are describes as orbs with many eyes arranged in rings.

I'm convinced they're scary because they're superimposition of higher dimensional shapes, bodies superimposed to fit three dimensions; For example, The angel with wings on top and wings downward(Seraphim & cherubim), this is how any 6 dimensional contraption would look like in our 3D worldview or eyes-rings-angel (throne) is actually how a look into a wormholes would look like. The supernatural isn't supernatural because this is in fact plain nature, but much above our average brain capacity. And in the end, what matters is the message and our doing, not the messenger.

15:20 I like plot twist when they’re done correctly like this! Edit: come to think of it when the Native Americans were dressed the way they were in all white, shooting the other guy essentially “saving” him. They can’t appoint it too him dying! Given the fact that your brain stays alive for minutes after the rest of your body shut down. I can only imagine the amazing things last experience before the last neuron fires!

Angels are supposedly higher dimensional beings that our eyes can't really see in their full shape and form. We would see something like sphere made of eyes and limbs which would not be the true real form and the higher the dimension the crazier it gets.

Such cheap story telling. So glad I watched your recap b4 watching the movie. Yes the majority of the story was good, but the ending ... was a punch in the gut. "I woke up, it was all a dream." Really, we are supposed to grow out of that in primary school. ( Elementary school if you prefer. )
