She lied about everything. The guy she was with wanted to break up with her so she accused him of r*pe and manipulated the blonde detective (Rollins) to get on her side. Turns out she was sleeping with the same guy the detective was sleeping with as well.

She wasn’t lying. But the big plot of the episode is the bar owner sponsor boyfriend Nate. Turns out he ends up having to testify and everyone in court finds out he was cheating on Amanda with Lena and uses the AA and GA meetings to woo and pick up vulnerable women . Basically the episode is way more about her and her relationship with the team and her addiction and mental state. We don’t get to 100% know if the murder was really planned or and accident, but at least the main characters think it was a bullshit conviction that gave her too much credit. And Amanda relapses.

@@ShyKnitter92 Honestly, I feel like pretty much 100% of men don’t become super violent and aggressive right after they ‘arrive’. They become complacent, let their guard down, become sleepy, the perfect time for her to push him. She just seemed like she lied often and when caught, just came up with something else.

I think the episode in question is titled "Doubt". It was from season six. It was a " he said, she said" episode and the audience was supposed to vote who was telling the truth after the episode ended.
@OrangeArdmore
@OrangeArdmore 5 месяцев назад
@@markmartinez4180 When the original post recalled a similar episode I was thinking similar meant being thrown off the roof bc there have been several of those episodes. I remember the "Doubt" episode, but there was no voting. Law & Order: SVU ends at 11pm. Who's staying up for those results or checking the next day? The "Doubt" episode was a good one bc that was one of those rare occasions where we don't see them get a court verdict. It left the audience hanging. I thgt the girl was the guilty party in both episodes.

Public prosecutors and their teams have limited resources at their disposal. They have to justify every decision in a cost-benefit analysis when their budgets are scrutinized because some public official wants to be a hero by slashing the funding to promote themselves as fiscally responsible. Public prosecutors will go for the more assured victory, or what is pressed on them by people of authority/influence and/or public outrage. The easy wins get them their budgets. They're about keeping their job, doing their job, and nothing about actual Justice
